I'm all for it. A few hours of pk off seems reasonable to me as long as it doesn't interfere with rp, of course!

Does firing guns or using archery while mounted decrease accuracy? I imagine it would be harder to hit a target from a moving animal.

I know there are people who train in irl to fire while mounted and it's significantly harder to be accurate.

Glad to hear they've been adjusted. Thanks Landion.

Just out of curiosity, were the numbers that I got wrong the price? Or is there some other number you're referring to?

I don't think they should be removed at all. I just think there needs to be some sort of limit on how far that 50k investment will go. It seems as though hiring someone until they die (especially for 50k) would not be a realistic. Are the hiresword hiring conditions until death? Would any hiresword ...

I don't think these things are reliably killable by an utasa in a group even using blink as they'd still need to have an attack around 2000 to be able to hit with any certainty at all and I don't think any utasa have this level of skill yet. I also don't think it would be too easy to put together a ...
24 hours isn't very much time. But it would be neat to have some sort of 'mini faction' system in which the more damage that a hiresword protects the Player from, the lower their faction goes with that specific mob. When it hits a certain point, the contract is ended. That being...

How about a time limit on these things? Maybe they last for 24 hours of in-game time or until dead? There has to be a limit to how long they're hired for right?

... my hiresword can block attacks on me but do not retaliate.
This will likely be changed in the future too so that people on your enemies list would get attacked...(if it doesn't already.)
While these are a large investment, it is an investment that i...

Hireswords

These 50k hireswords seem a bit overpowered to me. You can play for 3 years and not have their stats, yet someone can buy one in a couple days and have 5000 for all combat skills? I realize that if they die you're out 50k but should this be a license for traders to go into any area they want with ab...

Heavy armor and penalties

So far heavier armors only have a stealth penalty and channeling penalty as far as I know. I'd think it would be a lot harder to perform a considerable number of other actions in heavy armor. Maybe some energy/rt penalties for logging, mining, farming, and crafting skills? Maybe a direct drop in dod...

Depends on what's growing in the fields. I plant a plot near Shadgard, burn the fields, and sit back and watch the mass hallucinations.
Burning fields is a normal and common practice, however, I (and Rias will agree with me) am not about to provide trouble makers a blatant way to grief other players who simply wish to be left alone and make some riln. By the same logic we could make Acarin's home burnable too, which I...

1) Burning fields. Light the suckers on fire and watch em burn.
2) Crops that release smoke with fun consequences when burned.

Kian, its pretty clear that you will disagree with whatever I say just because you dislike me on personal level. You have made that very clear. There is no need for you to comment on this and it really doesn't involve you. I've never had a real problem with Landion. He's a great guy and works hard a...
There's nothing 'unfair' about it. It's mechanics abuse. Likewise with everything else Acarin has been complaining about. Being limited to Corvus with all alts is due to abuse. I've been told by staff (and I won't name anyone in particular) that complaining means work won't get done on several occassions BY SOMEONE CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF THE ISSUES (or alternatively that I am simply whining). I was certainly not silent until then. I have been since these occurrences unt...

I just wrote a super long post and then lost the whole thing, so you'll have to excuse me if this comes across a bit less pleasant than it is intended to be. I don't have the patience to candy coat it again. Rias, skills are independent. Attack is independent from dodge. Dodge is independent from at...

I disagree entirely. I still believe that if the activity we are doing is challenging, we should learn from it. If my stealth skill is reduced to 50, then it's extremely challenging for me to hide. I'm not hiding at a 1000 level. That's it. It's hard for me to hide. I should be able to learn from it.

Although I see where you're coming from to a very minor extent, I find this to be extremely unrealistic and a detriment to the challenge system. If my legs become so damaged that I can barely dodge, I have a higher risk of being hit and dodging becomes a challenge. I am still putting myself in dange...
