An update on this. A successful ambush now automatically counts as as if you had an automatic extra teir of position for hand-to-hand combat skills. This applies to Jab, Punch/Claw, Kick and Grapple. We'll see if this helps out our more stealthy brawlers a bit, I think it will.[/quote...
I dunno, if I'm charging you and you have a dagger, you are a lot less likely to hit me than if you had a maul. (You could miss and hit the horse, which again is something that could be addressed) I can see if someone is charging you and you have a big hammer, you're going to have a bigge...

I wouldn't think the size of the weapon would have much to do with the rider's ability to dodge (unless it's weighing them down). It would definitely effect their ability to parry as they're elevated. Lae, I think dodge should be reduced on a mount regardless of weapon size or other contributing fac...
I don't think being mounted gives you a boost to dodge, I haven't noticed one if so. Also bison are yummy.
Even if it doesn't give a bonus, it seems logical to me that it would be dropping it. And it does do that when I'm unarmed on a horse to the same degree as it drops my par...

I really love it when people quote me completely out of context. Landion, the comment regarding everything not being logical was in reference to mounts providing a bonus to dodge and general defense and was not an attempt to convince you to implement stealth mounts. It's also nice when you're so def...

Kian, you don't really know what you're talking about when it comes to Shar skills. We don't do considerable damage to most light targets. You're completely wrong. The only ability we have now that can is cthroat following the very recent change and our inability to do damage is the big problem sinc...

Evelyn, I realize you've worked hard for your skills and I'm not saying you didn't. It's not damage either as I expect to die in one hit to any massive weapon. It's also not just an imbalance I've seen with you, but I've had the same situation occur with Collins, Alexander, and Gad. Riding is an eas...

Grapple can't be executed from hiding can it? I believe I would have to exit hiding to perform it and therefore be exposed to massively increased attack rolls. Thanks for letting me know though, as I was also unaware that this mechanic existed and that you start in slight position for mounted target...

I actually agree with you. There is a rather arbitrary bonus which mounted players now enjoy. Providing stealth mounts would balance that out. There is, however, no equivalent arbitrary bonus that stealth provides. There is a potential pushdown when you attack from hiding. Stealth is great but it is...
