Re: Weight of Greathelm seems too much

Perhaps the solution is to make normal helms weigh 8 pounds and up the encumbrance thresholds!!!

Can we make armor weigh more?!? Please...

Re: The learning curve

I've actually started writing something on the mechanics behind skill gain in comeat recently but I'm umming and aaarrring over it as I've approached it from a very numbers orientated view which I'm not sure how beneficial it would be. I think it's this sort of approach that possibly shouldn't go o...

Re: Housing Discussion

If you made vaults instanced rooms, you could simply limit the storage size (something reasonably large) on them and have only one container in each. The contents of the container could be translated into the same format as the current bank system upon leaving the vault (maybe?). I guess I'm basical...

Re: Housing Discussion

Can't these be handled on a case-by-case basis? I mean, as much as I hate taking things from other people, if you aren't actively playing the game we have bank vaults to store your stuff in. As much as I would hate to log in one day and find that my house was no longer mine, or be told that since I...

Re: Housing Discussion

I guess my question then would be whether items in home/guild cell storage take up more room than those stored in bank vaults. One possibility would be to limit the storage space in smaller units to prevent "junk" from accumulating and gathering dust (i.e. furnished units with janitor comi...

Re: Housing Discussion

Thanks Rias. We were starting to hijack thay last topic. Is it against policy to own a house on more than just one character? I always thought it was okay for someone to own a house on just one other alt, as long as that alt is an active character and not just sitting around collecting dust most of...

Re: Housing Discussion

Would it be possible to open up some no perk one room condo type structures in the major towns that are essentially unlimited or is this not likely to ever happen? I know you guys don't currently support housing for ANY alts, but I do have 2 very well established characters and it's always strange t...

Re: The learning curve

Another issue is there a lot of things that can be found on the BBS but not on the wiki. And some things, like the recipe for cookies, can't be found anywhere at all. Having that all in one place would benefit players new and old greatly. Lets not go sharing proprietary secrets that should be known...

The learning curve

Dear all, I think there's a rather steep learning curve in Clok and as some of us are aware, it can be difficult to keep new players when they don't feel like they're getting the hang of things quickly. A lot of games have a prominent "Tips for beginners" section on their BBS. If the GMs a...

Re: What you should know about Tse Gaiyan and Druidry

So... just to be clear, when I want a guild to condescend due to their shoeless granola bar eating ways and idle naturalist threats, it would no longer be the Udemi?!?

EDIT: wait... is there a "the" in front of Udemi? or Utasa?

Pets are out there. They've been auction items in the past and require a home to keep them in.

Re: Dead Count

I can see dropping anything being held in the hands to the ground (so they can be picked up by anyone), but this would inevitably lead to people killing others for their items. I think it's just a bad idea for the same reason I can't loot another player's corpse after I assassinate them. Too much ab...

Re: Dead Count

How about we just not have item droppage? I'm strongly against this for a variety of reasons, the most prominent of which is that it adds nothing to the game. Here are some additional reasons: 1) No one will wear/use anything nice anymore when they stand to lose all their stuff. 2) It's not fun to ...

Re: Dead Count

Permadeath is one of the things I truly dislike myself, at least in regards to always happening. Examples of how I didn't mind it would be GS actually, where if you had deeds, you'd take a hefty penalty if you departed but you didn't have suffer permadeath if you had one. Preventable, but it was th...

Re: Undying and the importance of the body

So... a quick question then. Is it possible for an undying to become a true sentient nethrim (i.e. a lich or something similar)? Does the lore behind being undying support this kind of existence as well or is the death of a nethrim generally considered to be permanent?

Hmm... Great option for katars.
Katars aren't hand-worn by current mechanics, they're held like a dagger. But, yes please!
