I actually agree to some extent Nootau, although I'd think it would be cool to institute a mechanic where the first couple pyro strikes don't increase damage but after multiple strikes damage with pyro starts going up (kind of like gaining position in brawling) as I'd think that it would take time t...

Lightning damage and armor
I'd heard a while ago that lightning does extra damage to armored opponents. I'm wondering if this is the case, because physics tells us that this should be the opposite (as long as the armor provides adequate covering i.e. from strike point to floor, it should act as a ground for any electricity. S...

Cryomancy and armor
I've heard that metal armor drastically reduces cryomancy damage. Why is this the case? I'd think that dispersing heat from metal armor would be worse than (or at least as bad as) not being armored as you'd have an extremely cold metal object very close to your skin...and the armor itself likely wou...
My question seems to be still unanswered.. Seeing as Armor use is currently a skill that can be trained, how much of the penalties can be trained away as well as which penalties can be trained away? Does armor use help Stealth or only Accuracy and Dodge?
Armor use does not help...
Armor use is used to negate armor penalties, if it does not, what is the skill used for?
By that logic, I should be able to train off armor stealth penalties. Armor use should be able to negate some penalties (i.e.slightly decreasing the probability that a channel will drop or ...

The dodge comment was intended mostly as a joke, although I still believe that heavily armored individuals should have their dodge compromised to some degree as they're definitely not as mobile and shouldn't be able move out of the way as quickly as someone wearing softer armors. If dodge is ever re...

The reason for it to activate in melee (assuming the first idea) would be the chance to do some minor damage along with the block. If this was not added in and it only worked with ranged, I agree (In this case you would actually be gaining a roll that you did not have before). EDIT: Also, again this...
If both the Mercenaries and the Dwaedn gain this ability I would say it should be a 20% penalty (as it is a improvised shield) but other wise seems a decent ability). Though for balance sake, the chance to change a Parry to a Block should be between 15-20%. One in ten seems almost too ...
there was in fact talk with Lucio during preparations about ensuring no harm was to come to citizens, save those who bore arms and fought against us.
I don't think you succeeded with that. Acarin was ambushed following login (he was empty-handed too, so no arms) while tryin...

Ability Suggestion: Shield of Arms
Shield of Arms: Some mercenaries of the Western Coalition favor heavier arms, with which the use of a shield would not be practical. They have therefore developed ways to defend themselves from assaults that would ordinarily require a shield. In particular, some mercenaries have learned to quickly s...

I'm a bit curious about flanking from hiding actually. Is there a rationale as to why another person has to be present if a target is unaware of our presence? I understand if this is really intended to be just a benefit of group hunting and blink, but it seems that if a target has no clue that someo...

I noticed that drakolin scale gauntlets enhance brawling like metal gauntlets (except they degrade very quickly on hits). They also add to rt, and cost more energy than bare-handed brawling (like other metal gauntlets). This seems strange to me as leather gauntlets and rigid leather gauntlets don't ...

Thank you, Rias. As I've stated above, your conclusion is well supported by science! EDIT: Also, it's things like this that make me want to figure out the physical properties of some of the less well defined substances/channels (like nether and cryomancy)... Knowing how they act and placing them int...

First, the temperature of a flame is entirely dependent on the fuel source not the total energy in the system. Unless this adding of energy is the equivalent to changing your fuel source (resulting in a more exothermic reaction) which I doubt, adding more of the same type of fuel doesn't make your f...
