Re: Firearms discussion
Which brings up this question... How is it so much easier to aim at a particular target with a firearm than with a melee weapon? Maybe it's just what I've seen from watching several snipers in the arena, but it seems they hit an aimed target FAR more frequently than melee fighters. I would think it ...

Rias, may this day of your birth (an undisclosed number of years later) be characterized by a positive sense of well-being and excited emotional state.

Re: Studying the Elements
I still don't understand this at all, honestly. Why would a non-combat Elemancer care what his elemancy skills are at? Elemancy skills really only impact combat accuracy unless I'm missing something here. Why would there be a non-combat means for acquiring combat spell accuracy? The concept of a non...

Re: Nether Vision update.
Just wondering if this working properly. While I don't think bright light has an effect anymore, the brightness of a room does not change at all while this is running and I don't get the normal nether vision message in brighter rooms while sorcery is running (I think this is the condition but could ...

Re: OOC-Free Weekend
We've seen more interaction, RP, and use of ESP since we've turned off ooc. We've doubled the amount of RP awards that we've handed out in a month in under 12 hours. I would hope that players would give the entire weekend a fair chance, playing in game and in character before you state your aversio...

Re: OOC-Free Weekend
I have to agree with Makkah on this. OOC and chat were nice features. I miss them already and find myself getting bored a lot quicker. Even if people get annoyed with them sometimes, they still promote community in CLOK. Without them, it's a lot of time with no human interactions...

How could I forget: As armor: Leggings (currently available as clothing), leg-wraps, hand-wraps, body-wraps (for the mummy look?), arm-wraps, facewraps (maybe as a helm/mask)... Seriously, the mummy look is in. As belts: Sashes, waist sash, low-slung belt, utility belt (with pockets of course). For ...

Re: Minor Beacon update
Taint and thaumaturgy don't coexist well, if that's what you're wondering. If a Templar has become tainted, he's beyond protecting from such at that point, isn't he? Thaumaturgic light does protect, to a degree, from taint and nether. If the thaumaturge was willingly accepting or taking the taint u...

Re: Firearms discussion
I think tactics marksman should be impossible or half effective with dual pistols, and fully effective with a single. I also think it would be a nice unique benefit for single wielding a revolver to have a slow accuracy boost over a short time if you keep firing at the same target. Higher accuracy ...

Re: Nether taint ideas
I just snuck into and out of a room undetected multiple times while I was completely tainted and the bystander was well past the threshold of being granted this ability. Of course, the lower my associated skills are and the higher the bystander's, the harder it gets to sneak by undetected. Just lik...

Re: Nether taint ideas
You clearly think something equivalent to this ridiculous mechanic is implemented, but you are incorrect. What you're assuming is a 90-99.99% chance is not. It's based on skills and rolls and factors that vary from character to character, with a baseline of 0 just like everything else. There are no...

Re: Nether taint ideas
Tainted being are just that tainted, these are new instincts that they are not forged with so their control of them would be loose and pale compared to true Nethrim beings. I also apologize for being so vague in my last post concerning each of your original points, let me address them directly. 1) ...

Re: Nether taint ideas
Tainted beings and nethrim have very good intuitive control over nether and less scholarly knowledge about nether. I see the forced control by rooks as being less intuitive and therefore not as easily able to sense distruptions, etc. due to being a bit more analytical about the process.

Re: Nether Vision update.
I've always wanted nether echolocation! Thanks Rias.
Does this mean that bright light will no longer blind someone using this ability? It might make it exceedingly hard for rooks to hunt in bright areas if this is a side effect of channeling sorcery.
