Shanks! We need prison-style shanks for brawling! Not quite a knife... but great for jabbing into a neck as you pull back a punch.

Bottle shanks too.

All types of shanks.

You leap out from hiding to attack! You slash at a fungus-covered merchant's neck with berry pie! (Off: 1467 vs Def: 133) You cut deep into a fungus-covered merchant's neck! A fungus-covered merchants throat begins bleeding! 89 slash damage to the neck! (energy -8) Roundtime: 5 seconds. Yeah it is!

Re: Is this a bug? Sheathes can be now stolen from

Just to follow-up on this, if I hadn't taken minor alchemical damage and dropped it, I would have walked away with Drayla's whittling knife the other day. She payed me a decent amount for it too a couple months ago. Jaster might have walked away with my nethrium katar as well if he could take the co...

Re: Hot Spring spell!

I was thinking for maintaining vibrational energy alone and not for creating the matter itself. I assume it does not break the laws of conservation of matter by utilizing massive quantum fluctuations (not that this is possible, but short of pulling the matter from somewhere else this is the only exp...

Re: Hot Spring spell!

Does conjuration break the laws of conservation of energy? It was my understanding that a conjurer must release an amount of energy that is equal to the energy being used by their conjuration. Is this correct? I would assume they're not creating energy... but could be entirely wrong. I only ask this...

Re: Death looms!

Since this system currently severely penalizes those who are widely hated, making being an evil character even harder, I would appreciate some sort of way to get an npc to track us down and rescue our corpse. I think the current system also penalizes stronger players who travel to areas with mobs th...

One more issue. Minor nether taint is being done away with as far as I know. A nether taint (in any form) also does not classify one as damned or evil in any way. It's simply a consequence of exposure for some...

Re: Take that, you stinkin criminal!

I was thinking about this again recently and I think when the city permanently bans someone perhaps their stuff should be sold at auction by the city. The city could recap some of the costs associated with repeat offenders that aren't going to pay up. It'd also give the criminals an opportunity to ...

Re: Take that, you stinkin criminal!

That being said, it's always annoying to lose uniques/merchant alterations. If I spend a significant amount of time, effort, and riln acquiring an item, it would be nice to be able to keep it. That's where item registration comes in. If you have an item registered, you can count on getting it back ...

If this gets implemented, can we have a way of toggling this off too? , Not that I don't like it, but I'm finding the longer command prompt becoming progressively harder to interpret quickly as more gets added.

Re: Take that, you stinkin criminal!

The problems come in when GMs intervene resulting in changes of the jurisdiction of guards. I know to store my stuff if I attempt to break into Shadgard. I don't know that while outside the gates of Shadgard there is the potential that a GM controlled npc may appear and assist in my arrest while int...

Re: Is this a bug? Sheathes can be now stolen from

The problem I see with the current system is that your weapon becomes preferentially stolen if you are good about closing your containers (i.e. your sheath is the only remaining container that can be stolen from). It may not matter if you have a junk dagger, but if you have something you don't want ...

Re: Take that, you stinkin criminal!

How about they just ship your stuff to you if you pay off a fine (through the post office), or you can send an npc money to steal it back for you (for example, if you don't have any access to that town).

I agree though. It would be nice to give criminals a chance of evading arrest...
