Re: Ability idea: Quicksell
I think it, like swindle, would be very valuable to new artisans, as it would prevent them having to return to town regularly just to sell their things, but perhaps less so once you've gotten established. I think thematically it would be fairly appropriate, though I do understand the idea that the i...

Re: Ability idea: Quicksell
Perhaps a... 'porter' ability or something similar. He follows you around (almost like a horse), and you can give him a sack of goods to run off to the markets with. You can tell him to just go to the nearest, or to find the best prices, in which case it will take far longer for him to get back. Lik...

Re: Request for an auto log out feature
I think the problem with that Sona is it sound like it just goes off every 44 seconds period, not every 44 seconds since his last command. Depending on how robust the system is, he could set it up that way, but it might be complicated.

Re: Abilities requiring Weapon Masteries:Ideas
So, just sat down for a while and tried to come up with some cool abilities for various weapon types, because I agree that many of the weapons could use some love. I'm sure plenty of these need balancing of one sort of another, and some might not be wanted or practical, but I thought I'd just throw ...

Re: Request for an auto log out feature
I'm guess that'd be a big deal from their end, because right now even non commands will reset the timer (such as asdf). I'm not sure how complex the timers and triggers and such can get with Blowtorch, but you could set this up on your own end. Simply have the timer increase a variable by 1 every ti...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
I'm happy to answer questions about Xyra if anyone has any, but I don't think she's much of an enigma, and is happy to answer the questions herself generally.

Re: How do your character's results compare to your own?
I am the logician (INTP-A) which sounds very fitting for me, and the one that I usually get I believe (Either that or INTJ, I seem to remember the less than 1% stat on mine, but the INTP famous people look more familiar) And Xyra meanwhile is the Protagonist (ENFJ-A), so almost the opposite of me. I...

I'm sorry, I meant done before I started, I haven't checked changelogs from before I started, which was after the initial generalization. I didn't remember us talking about it. I didn't mean to bug you about it again.

Re: Artisan Leatherworking
Okay, that's what I thought. I mostly just wanted to check that it hadn't already been done and some little bug was making it unobtainable until the end. I know you have tons on your plate, so I'll wait till it floats to the top of the list or I get the 750 skill to get it :)

Artisan Leatherworking
Just wanted to post real quick to ask about this. Right now it gives a massive bonus but requires a massive skill to get. However, I would think that it is supposed to be like Artisan Blacksmithing and be gotten early and improve with skill. My question is simply is it supposed to be like Artisan Bl...

Have you tried 'look in dresser list'? It helps out quite a bit for me when going through that sort of thing.

That could be too. I actually thought about including that with how she looks. "Work on" could be very loosely interpreted here ;)Fayne wrote:Looks to me more like she is contemplating eating whatever guy she is looking at.

Oh, I think I kept reading the 10% bonus to clothing warmth and thinking it was a 10% skinning bonus. Thanks for clearing it up, time to start unlearning bushcraft then.

Skinning Focus vs Bushcraft: Basics
So, there seems to be some confusion about what exactly Skinning Focus and Bushcraft: Basics do in regard to skinning. I've asked a couple times and gotten that apparently Skinning Focus will give you full skinning ability, access to all qualities of skin, while Bushcraft: Basics will only give you ...

Re: Battle Tournament!
You could disallow ranged weapons entirely. I mean, yes, it would suck for those people who specialize in them, but there really aren't any real world examples of head on ranged combat being used in a practice/tournament setting, and the reason is more or less the exact problem we're encountering he...

Re: Battle Tournament!
Arrows can be made without proper arrowheads via using 'sharpen arrow' and it (is supposed to, never tried it before) lower the damage, so that might make them fairly doable. All in all a tournament like this is somewhat difficult to pull off at the moment because of the lack of training/practice we...

Re: Sharing a room! (Posthumous)
I think departing is actually an OOC concept, because it is mentioned that when you depart, there should be an IC assumption that some NPC came along and dragged your body to wherever. This is kind of confusing when someone departs while being dragged, but that's the current situation, and it is bei...

Re: Battle Tournament!
A possibility for acquiring weapons of lesser lethality is to ask participants to seriously abuse a weapon beforehand and then set it aside for the competition. When weapons become heavily damaged, their damage output decreases dramatically, as experience with one poor over-used longsword has taugh...
