Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
I've had GMs do things that effected me so heavily, even though I was in no part involved with something that happened, that it's quite seriously driven me away from playing Clok as much as I had used to. That's funny. I've had that happen to me as well. Hmm. I can't answer any of your other questi...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
In my opinion, the fact that you are attempting to justify what you are doing and why ruins the integrity of the roleplay invironment. In my opinion, "attempting to justify what I am doing and why" is ... the entire point of this thread. No one is forcing you to participate in it. You vol...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)
There has been at least one occasion where I did try to argue the point, and it turned out that the other character had indeed caught me red handed (it was substantiated by a log). Sometimes people get lucky! I was very quick to apologize and admit I was wrong. And then I did what I always do anywa...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
Weather or not people hate you is you and their business, but I can think of several reasons I dislike Vaylon. It depends on which of the characters you want to know about. I'll give you this one, though, without searching it out I've heard that Vaylon harasses and makes women feel uncomfortable an...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
Well -- it's getting close to the Festivus season, so I don't mind Airing some Grievances a little early. (I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else for the Feats of Strength.) Is there anyone who thinks Vaylon has treated them unfairly? Is there anyone who thinks Vaylon stole from them and had no...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)
First of all, let me say that I'm glad you posted this, Jaster. I think this is a subject that has needed addressing for quite some time. All of your concerns are real and valid, and I've spoken to other players who have similar thoughts. However, I will not be speaking for them; I can speak only fo...

I agree with this suggestion. We're still able to receive promotions, after all.

Re: The Blood God
For me as a player, the horror of human sacrifice -- at least so far as the Huecs are concerned -- is somewhat mitigated by the fact that magic and gods really do exist in the world, so those people who voluntarily submit may actually not be sacrificing their lives in vain.

Furnace Item Transfer Limits
As some of you may recall, previously we were able to put a near-unlimited number of items into a furnace and smelt them. This led to some problems, of course: for instance, an infamously heavy bar of metal in Shadgard that took, if I remember correctly, a dozen people to heave. As a result of incid...

Re: Future Profession Gating
There's something I wonder about... From what I understand, the staff implemented ability point requirements for crafting skills because they dislike characters who can do everything, and the intended effect was to encourage people to collaborate more instead of just grinding up those skills on thei...

Re: Stealth gains in heavy armor are bugged.
I don't think you should be getting ANY stealth gain when wearing heavy armor. Stealth is a light armor skill that somewhat works with moderate armor. When you go full on heavy like that, it should be mostly disabled. Though, the fact that NPC training us the same system as regular skill gain and y...

Stealth gains in heavy armor are bugged.
Wearing heavy armor reduces stealth gains even below what they actually should be. Yes, I know that there were changes made to practicing stealth while wearing heavy armor so that skillgain could more accurately reflect our actual level of skill -- i.e., so people can't easily grind stealth by pract...

Re: For Humor
Has no body the log of last night's customization event with Tollk they can post here? Last night we witnessed some of the funniest shiz in the history of CLOK and it would be a shame if Bryce and others were unable to read it. I have a log of part of it. I've edited it for brevity, but it's still ...

Re: My Voice From The Grave
It's a good idea, but, as you pointed out, there's just one problem: we don't see what dead PCs are wearing. I don't know if that's intentional or due to a bug. I can't see the jewelry being useful if that bug isn't addressed.

I would be against permadeath, and I would also be against you losing any items if you waited to be rescued. My suggestion for losing your items was only if you departed, and the reason I brought it up was because the staff appear to be discussing making departing more punishing.

Re: Dead Count
I don't know, I've always kind of had this desire that dying should probably be something that people should be encouraged to avoid, and that there should be consequences that consist of more than simply AFKing around and waiting it off. Based on this post from the thread on Undying bodies, I would...

Re: Dead Count
Perhaps when a toll is sent out, it can be assigned a random characteristic so that we can (1) distinguish between those tolling and (2) pinpoint which one we are rescuing with the rescue pulse. This would also serve the purpose of partially obscuring who was tolling, since each new death would be a...

Re: I heart Shadgard
I get the impression that Haiban is more popular than Shadgard or Mistral Lake right now, but Shadgard will always hold a special place in my heart. When I first started my character, I thought long and hard about where to start him based on the descriptions of the towns, and I decided on Shadgard i...

Re: Import shop
1) As a player who plays a single character, it becomes a little bit annoying when players who don't main artisans put in on artisan issues. You're simply not very invested in the guild if you're not an active part of it or it's not your only character. Even if we don't play artisans, our input is ...
