Extended absence
Hey all, Hope the new year was full of merrymaking ICly and OOCly! Unfortunately as the title suggests, I think I'm going to have to put my activity on Clok on hold. I thought my absence was only going to be for the holiday season, but looking at what I have to do from now until the summer (and depe...

A warm and fuzzy shout-out to y'all!
With Christmas and New Year's just around the corner, I wanted to give everyone a happy holiday shout-out for making Clok such a dynamic place! Fellow players, thanks for bringing in such a diverse cast of characters to interact with. Staff members, thanks for all your hard work in keeping this game...

I so +1 this <3
Random chance to slip on ice and knock your elbow on the frozen dirt as you move between places that are covered in snow. I dig that.

Percussion instruments?
A brief RP interaction today got me thinking about the instruments available on Clok. It seems like there are no percussion instruments available?! But they're so awesome! Let's have tambourines, darbukas, bongos, castanets, et cetera, pretty please?

Concepts of Clok's world and its inhabitants!
I would love to see how people imagine different places and peoples in Arad--and beyond! For my part, here is a digital painting I stumbled across just now that just screamed "NUUMIC MAN!" to me. The opulence of his golden jewelry, his robes, his complexion, the regal stance that reminds m...

"Yell"ing into another room?
I was thinking how fun and useful it would be if there was a shouting feature where someone's say in one room could be heard in another because they were shouting! For example: Bob writes: yell There's a snake in my boot! Anyone in the same room as Bob would see: Bob yells, "There's a snake in ...

Re: Character descriptions
Alrighty, let's take a break from studying. Here's Ahelis: This woman is a tad on the small side in build and height. Her physique is unremarkable, but it's clear from the few calluses on her hands and the tautness of her arms that she is used to some physicality. Her hair, when not tied into a seve...

Re: Dead Count
I vote we get rid of the depart penalty as it is currently but give an exponentially increasing chance of permadeath on each depart instead! Who's with me? I've recently come to like the concept of permadeath, plus I think it would keep with the lore we have in which Undying don't know when a death...

Re: Fun fantasy reading - suggestions?
Oh! The Earthsea books, the name of the author of which eludes me at the moment, are neat as well. I've read the first one, and I quite like the way magic is handled in it. I believe the name is Ursula K. Le Guin. I hear her many books are amazing and spans genres and ideas... thanks for the remind...

Re: Fun fantasy reading - suggestions?
I don't read fantasy as much as I would like nowadays so you've probably read all these books already, but here are my two cents! :) His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman. So amazing. The Abhorsen Trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix. I absolutely loved Sabriel. While my experien...

Re: Visual Aid
I always imagined that Mistral Lake looked something similar to Laketown (AKA Esgaroth) from The Hobbit! They both have the wooden village on top of water thing going on. So, I suppose the layout and general architecture, I always imagined to be like: http://img10.deviantart.net/99f9/i/2012/296/a/f/...

Re: Clok Poetry
Dorn's poem reminded me of another poem I'd stumbled across not too long ago, by Patrick Shaw Stewart. It's not exactly Clok-related (I'm sure some parallel could be drawn!) but I thought I'd share because I found it very powerful and haunting. 'Achilles in the Trench' was written by Stewart while h...

Re: What animal do characters remind you of?
Alexander - lion (the iconic association of what a lion is: majestic, brave, strong) Althea - dormouse (industrious, humble, peaceful) Dakhal - weasel (suave and wily, vicious when the need arises) Kent - pallas cat (not entirely sure why, but he does remind me of one) Lars - polar bear (a big, hulk...

Re: Incense burners?
It would be soooooooo awesome to be able to make incense in game. Kalimn would totally do that since he is religious, and leans towards the mystical sorts of things. That would be very cool. :) Even if it's just in a limited capacity, imo, because some plants/resins/woods are pretty hard to come by...

INFJ-A for myself, and ISFP-A for Ahelis. I can certainly see many parts of the description fitting her, minus how much stock the description puts in talking about artistry and extroversion and such. Dakhal and I are both INTJ-A. I don't know how I feel about this. Am I a sociopathic murderer? Thank...

Incense burners?
I noticed that while we have incense sticks being sold in the game, there don't seem to be any incense burners to go along with them. Would it be possible to have burners be sold in game as well? (And if possible, have them coded so they show that they have sticks in them if they're burning? A la wh...

Oh Death - Jen Titus
A rendition of an American folk song (I think???). It has Christian references, but the lyrics distinctly reminded me of creepy, creepy Verungnr. :)
Edit: On second thought, Aranas, too!

http://8tracks.com/deesaster/persephone-of-the-underworld I was playing some classical music on 8tracks while study jamming, and this one popped up. [Antony's] (InUr) The entry to Antony's is in shades of light greens and blues, with dark silver accents. Sconces hold tall candles which provide dim illumination. Thin, transluscent veils provide privacy for customers in other parts of the shop. The dim light lessens your vision slightly. The area ...

Watering bucket bug
I bought a watering bucket from Haiban, and I think there's a bug with it where the bucket doesn't register as empty after you use it. Below is some of the description I get in-game with the bucket. First, I drop the bucket and test my encumbrance level. Then I pick up my bucket, and look at it and ...
