Re: Mistral lake Tasks
I'm actually against the sentries in Mistral. I do wish that they would patrol, but even if they did, it would pretty much guarantee there's one in every room regardless. There's simply too many of them, and while it gives the feel of the town being well-defended/watched over, it does cripple a few ...

Re: General Tips: Stolen Items
I swear, that really looks like a loaded threat. "Do this or ELSE". A good thief doesn't intentionally cripple a person via theft, and normally offers some means of getting the item(s) back if it's in any way valuable.

Re: Mudlet help - Toggling a set of triggers with an alias
Yeah.. I noticed that after a bit. I had just got home from work and wasn't paying much attention.
Already chatted with 'em about it, but I'm sure that more help is always welcome.

Just tested it, it does indeed work. This makes the skill in the very least trainable.. but it would be nice if it went back to it's original containers. I can live without it for the time, however.

Re: Throwing Weapons
Going to just pop in here again to mention something; Either I'm doing something wrong, or there doesn't appear to be a way to gather items that you've hurled outside of using the 'transfer' verb. I just jumped into this skill to see how it is and By Jove, I was so quickly put off by how unwieldy it...

Re: Is damage too damaging?
I've done hundreds if not thousands of one-shots. It ranges weapon to weapon, almost all weapon types are capable of it. Bows are a great example, they do a massive maximum of like 160 damage, so it's not too hard. Swords are capable of it, and not just two-handed ones. There are one-handed swords t...

I had a single sentence in a several paragraph post that you nitpicked out of. Don't give me that. I won't bother arguing with you, as you've ignored what I've said already and there's no point in repeating myself.
I'll keep what you're saying in mind, sure, but I am still in disagreement.

Re: Some Thoughts
I'm sorry to say that I can't agree with what you're saying. I've done both mining and leatherworking both, and I was able to pull up iron and other varying good materials within hours of work. Mining scales much faster than skinning does, and stating that leatherworkers will pay a lot for those hig...

First off, I'll start with saying hello to everybody once again. I keep popping in and out, and I feel like each time, I post something to these boards in the form of a suggestion. So let's make one about one of my favorite crafting professions. Okay, let's get started. I've always wanted to do leat...

Re: Robber Camp near Shadgard
Dunno. I use it pretty frequently on multiple characters, it's a good zone. It has it's drawbacks, but it can be profitable for the time spent in it. If a person's mindset is that they only carry so much to avoid encumbrance penalties (we're talking strictly ammo for archers/gunners/crossbowmen) the...

I'd like to see it back, if only because I never got to explore it on Dakhal due to his tainted nature. The place is a complete mystery to me.

Re: Robber Camp near Shadgard
In the very least, is a concern that they can flat out leave with a weapon lodged in them. I've lost a nice stiletto in the past to something similar. The current mechanics of this area highly discourage the use of hurling weapons, so I'm sorry if that's your primary method of fighting- your pilums ...

Re: Why I Stopped Playing CLOK
It's been pretty decent. Makes a lot of things easy and more bearable, but at the times that I played, it seemed that people were more interested in grinding with said gains that proper RPing. Although firearms is still like pulling all of your fingernails and then teeth. I've dedicated days worth o...

Re: Textbooks: Their Value
Oh yes, I suppose I should have included in my initial post that I don't expect it to be cheaper overall. But 800 additional riln for something that will only cost like 200 riln or less is.. it a pretty drastic difference. Of course, a lot of the value in books is not having to go back to town const...

Textbooks: Their Value
After looking at the prices on the studybooks and their skill ranges, I can't help but wonder if they're truly worth the riln that is asked in exchange. You can spend 1000 riln on a 1-100 skill book, or you can pay about.. 150-200 riln for lessons from the trainers to receive more skill than the boo...

Abilities: Detection and Severence
Would it be possible that these are made into guild perks rather than full-on abilities? As it stands, I highly doubt that anybody takes them as is, as their use is extremely negligible compared to any other ability that you can get and are borderline on level with something that supplements RP than...

I'm not so fond of this idea, since it discourages interaction between those that are in the university and players are likely to make off with the books and never return with them.

Re: Aeromancy Nova to clear fog
Given the sheer amount of fog that a hydromancer can put out, it would indeed be an interesting quirk for aeromancy novas (or aeromancy in general) to disperse fog in an area. With novas perhaps expelling all of it due to their high energy cost and if casts are considered, a sliding scale based on t...

Re: Nurses Office
I agree, after I was pretty badly wounded and looking to get some infirmary attention, my first idea was to check the University since I was in the area. I looked around (re-exploring the place) for an infirmary, but ended up finding nothing and having to climb back down the mountain to head somewhe...

Re: University Stairway, Aero Jumps, HydroGeo Tram!
On themselves being the keyword here. The mountain path should remain as is for those that aren't a member of the University.
On proposition, perhaps have an exclusive guild portal for them to make it up the mountain, whereas those who do not pay tuition to attend have to take the path.

Re: Metagaming: Hunting Claws
It's always been both a concern and annoyance when I've been playing my Claw, but after some time passed and people continued to do it- I'd just kill them as well. If they wanted to play that game, they were more than welcome to become a corpse. Disregarding that, though, yes. This is a real concern...

As a note, you can use 'tips' to call up a tip at any point. I've read over a good fair few of them, and some of them are pretty good. I e...

Re: Firearm Repairs
I'm plenty happy for this, as I actually like needing to take my firearms in for service to keep them in good working order- but there's something that I have noticed that is just a bit minorly irritating. That being the fact that firearms jam, and while I agree that they should, I find it a bit bot...
