Artisans: Leatherworking suggestion

I was thinking that with the increasing demand for quality leather armors and goods, that maybe we could add some specific/superior leather armor types as artisan specific, like we do with weapon types currently. Maybe have it possible to have artisans able to make backpacks or quivers, or similar a...

Re: Wiki Updates

Cool, I thought it was too, but it's still on Locke's list of "I'd teach you that" so I figured the wiki was just outdated. Yay Jirato! Yay Artisans! Stuff :D

Wiki Updates

Hey my dear artisans and friends, I thought I'd start a thread for the artisan wiki that requires updating based on current in game information. I don't really know much about editing wikis, so I won't bother asking for a wiki account, but thought that having a thread with easy to access information...

Re: Swimming hard caps

Thanks for the clarification, I'm sure I and other folks will be firing off bug reports as we search out what we believe to be difficult swimming areas in hopes of becoming better swimmers. Clok Swim Team activate! :)

Re: Swimming hard caps

swimming in rivers and these difficult places should be raising the swimming skill then, right? There were some places that took me 10+ tries, and some places that were so hard to swim in, I died, and still didn't get any skill gain, even when I got lucky on one of them and made it through (but fail...

Swimming hard caps

With various deep and difficult swimming locations becoming available, could we please remove the hard cap from swimming, so we can learn to swim good?

Re: Artisan Issues

did a quick test with this: 6 average iron rapiers 1 average iron rapier with copper hilt 2 well-crafted iron rapiers ----------------------------------- turnin: 200 riln total (0 profit for actually PC crafting, just the "task reward") It's ok if this is geared more towards trading rather...

Re: Artisan Issues

no worries, and yeah, i agree about the misshapen stuff, probably shouldn't be doable. I think it would give storebought prices though? Just on the idea that if we can buy the weapons from another town and turn them in, we'll make the price of the weapons + 200 riln profit for the trip. Or does it w...

Re: Artisan Issues

revisiting note for this: could we check if having -any- avg or below average completely ruins any profit from average to well-crafted turnins? every turnin for retail goods bought from another city, I earn X riln static for the trip. But if I forge the items, lets say I have a couple average, a cou...

Re: Your body odor reveals your hiding spot!

giving this a bit of thought, it sounds neat, but unrealistic outside of urban environments. Unless something is truly, and gut wrenchingly putrid, you're probably not going to smell it unless you get preeeetty close. And given the distance from one 'room' to another is a league, well, unless there ...

Re: Meeting IC

yeah, that's a big number, it'd take some serious doing and probably hand picking through most of it. Likely not worth the time/energy investment for the results, but it'd be cool if we could have it. Just super low priority though.

Re: Meeting IC

I can't remember the character creation process exactly, but if those values are saved in the player files, I'd suggest utilizing those values to set a character string instead of a name, like "a $age $gender with $hair and $eyes stands here" and have the introduce system be separate, such...

Re: The Major Changes

1) I laughed, figuring the tone was tongue in cheek 2) I think Rias's 2) makes total sense. I don't know the Gaea sense myself, but many jump at the first hint of Gaea-distress as, "I AM SUFFERING THE BIG HURTY SUFFERING, I WILL FIND YOU AND HURT YOU, YOU BETTER BE GONE BEFORE I HURT YOU" ...

My character is exploring religion, her primary drawing seems to be towards the Mountain Father, but she also is interested in the great bear spirit.

Re: Why are you afraid of fighting, CLOKians?

I would have gone in based on my alliances, and not giving a crap about anything else. I'm undying yo. I didn't choose the undying life, the undying life chose me! I generally don't care for conflict, but the amount of reaction/action you can get from RP with the world is totally worth the risk of a...

scraps of cloth suggestions

1) My first request for scraps of cloth is to have them added to the Haiban infirmary.

2) My second request is for scraps of cloth to be sold individually, to save on order now <num>, trans all from pack to <container>, drop pack, repeat ad nauseum.

Re: The Major Changes

I think Vinz has done an excellent job, I know I struggled a bit to keep up with and fulfill as much of the orders as I could and at the same time learned quite a bit as well, while encouraging others to get involved as well. I'm feeling a bit jealous that you guys have such an awesome GM. I'm sure ...

Re: Artisan Issues

I'm not looking for an adjustment of profit for retail goods - we actually DO make a fair profit there. But I used some <player> forged stuff, discounted below store price that was 'well-crafted' and barely broke even, whereas my retail store buys usually net me about 100-200 riln a trip profit.

Artisan Issues

Hey guys, I might be wrong on this, but I wanted to poke to see if the following are issues, and if they should and can be corrected. 1) player crafted goods of equal or greated quality to what stores provide less profit and potentially even a loss of profit for tasks when handed in. reason why it's...

for newbies, and I'm sure even experienced players, it would be mighty convenient to have a reply function, which sends a tell to the last person who sent you a tell.

Re: Shout Out For A Newbie!

Thanks, I've definitely enjoyed my time with Clok so far, and I'm glad that entirely by chance I checked out TMS and noticed it on the top 20, so voting for the MUD has definitely been a factor. I've had a great time with the players and staff in this short time and hope I may offer suggestions and ...
