Re: Why are you afraid of fighting, CLOKians?

On my part, uh. A wierd mix of "Player is unable due to circumstances to play/dedicate much time to skill increasing" "Skills feel too low to be of any use."

Characters, they depend on what you're trying to fight.

Re: Greetings from a Wyrvardn, street rat, Rook, and Mummer~

As a quickish question... I've realised that I can't really put all the time I want into these guys equally, so I want to concentrate on one. If you've met any of mine, and would like to help me decide who to concentrate on, I'd like to hear your input.

Re: Ability Idea

Skywriting A master pyromancer, with the control he learned from the fireworks, can for a pyromantic firework to explode, causing the sparks to fal and shape themselves into a word. Be awesome if it could be seen everywhere (with a view to the sky) within, say, five leagues. Fire it off outside Mis...

Re: Wonky curve of skills.

While you're around, and slightly less related to the actual opening topic, why is it that only certain uses of skills actually raise them? For example, magic is by cast only, never by the assistive damage on an attack, even at a lower rate. Is it purely to make them harder to level, or something el...

Re: Wonky curve of skills.

I don't know many people who can fight massive amounts of enemies of equal skill at higher levels. (If you mean like 600 vs 600). From what I've seen, an equal fight is really a one match and then retreat deal. The issue is that someone with, say 400 dodge versus the 100ish carriers may not be leve...

Wonky curve of skills.

Now, uh, I'm aware that these are probably in place for reasons, and I remember reading a couple of things that said that training dummies aren't coming back but... As a new player who's spent a lot of time in the low ends of the skill spectrum and has got a character up to a level I'd think of as p...

Re: Ability Idea

Stealing a little from Avatar: TLB a litttttttle, why not lightning for pyromancy? I mean, in general, a lot of what's in that show seems like it could fit in reasonably.

As for air, sonic booms, or sharpening it into something that cuts?

Ooh! Firebreathing! Or swallowing. And I'd LOVE to be able to do the knifethrowing thing... Maybe with a LOT of points in hurling.

Mummer skill ideas.

Something a little bit lower than powers, but here.

Might be tied into performing in crowded areas.

Juggling. Instrument busking. Stuff like that. I appear to have blanked out on actual additional thoughts, but you get the idea. Street performances!

Re: ESP Q&A

This'll be rather a bump, I know, but I most certainly have a question. As I understand it, the ESP network is a sense on the edge of your mind, like you might have something in the corner of your eye. I have a mute character, who I'd like to communicate over the mesh in more abstract concepts, but ...

But it could be put into the Churches, still. As evidenced, it's confused quite a few people. Just saying it'd be helpful. :3

Glad you found us! I hope you find yourself enjoying your stay enough to stay with us a goodly while. I am~! Skill gain is slow for someone who can only do casual due to work, but I accept that~ The two of your characters )(Kester and shou) that I've ran into have been an awesome bit of RP! Welcome...

Re: Problem with death mechanic, or, For Whom the Bell Tolls

Actually, on a sort-of-related point... No-where in game does it MENTION the signals and responses and such that people seem to have stuck to. Three pulses means something like "Safe and Raising" but when it first happened to me, I thought I'd pissed that person off by ringing the bell rep...

Re: Problem with death mechanic, or, For Whom the Bell Tolls

Honestly, one of the easiest ways for this might be to give the dead person the ability to listen, without being able to talk, on ESP. Then they can hear if people are gathering for rescue, or something. On top of this, give the dead the ability to hear the Toll from other dead players, as then they...

Greetings from a Wyrvardn, street rat, Rook, and Mummer~

Hey there! This is sorta a bit of an introduction of sorts, as I'm always a bit slow jumping into new communities. Nonetheless, CLOK has been great fun to look around in, explore and generally get to experience. Though I'm going to be here purely as Shou, as a notification to the GMs, I play: Kester...
