Ability transparency
I recently picked up hamstring on an alt and found out I couldn't use it with my axe. Apparently it takes a sword or dagger, but there was nothing in the description indicating that limitation. So that got me thinking, after the suggestion from a friend, that it would be a good idea to have more tra...

Re: Good artisan changes
You have a lot of inaccurate statements. I don't see how this favors casual players over hardcore players. Also, making all items have a repair cap and less durability isn't going to make average weapons any more appealing to people who can't afford better things anyway, it's just going to place und...

Re: Good artisan changes
As a mostly casual player in this stage of my CLOK career, I oppose anything that seems to make the game less accessible to casual players. Making it so everything has a repair cap and breaks more easily would be a big hit to the enjoyment of people who aren't around all day long making riln that th...

Shadow strike was.... DAH BOMMB! But yea, why not bring it back with an extended timer to reduce its usability. Basically, a one-time shadow strike in any given combat encounter, if you will.

Re: Recognition Points
I see what you mean, Jill. And I like the idea! A registry sure beats the time and effort it takes to go around posting on town boards just to say, "Hi, I'm for hire."
Maybe I'm lazy. :)
What you suggest would really help facilitate some mercenary-e-ness-ness. Nah mean?

Re: Hallucinogenic Mushrooms=Banned from Mistral
To be blunt, I don't think making up an IC story that is false to explain away what actually happened is an acceptable way to avoid consequences. You said you were working on hunting scripts, which wouldn't have involved a mine or experimenting with herbs. It would be no different than me using a sc...

Sorry to see it come to this. Lae has given me some of my most memorable moments on CLOK, and it's sad to see it cut short. At least we can say we took that ride together. >_<

Re: Request for a Senior Player's board
I can't imagine what gripes you would not want to be seen by younger (less than 1 year) players, or why it even matters, but if that is the case then perhaps it would be best to email the GMs directly with said gripes.
For us to have our own board is elitist and preposterous.

+1 for non-guild related tasks. It would seem to make sense, especially with the looming ability generalization, and would give unguilded folk something to do if they so please.

Some of the looks were legit IC roleplay, where I was looking at my friend to see the status of his wounds in/after combat. :P If we had known this fix, we would have done it (together (in my house)), and it wouldn't have been anything like that time Acarin took his pants off.

Re: Chat-free periods
They usually only last for a few hours out of the day, and if you can't go without chat for a few hours then maybe taking a look at the way you play is a good thing. Several people have referenced Sneaky and agreed that some people should reconsider why they play this game, but I'd like to point ou...

Re: Chat-free periods
I generally agree with Vitello's perspective. While typically not with chat, due to my limited play time I often find myselff prudently using OOC communications to help facilitate IC interaction. I'm not ashamed of that, because if I were to rely solely on chance IC interactions to progress my rolep...
