Re: For Humor

Speaking to Aslaug, you ask, "What, two thousand, or two riln pieces?"

I KNEW IT.

Re: Hunting Expedition / Cooking Competition

An update has been posted, one that is reflected in the writing on said postings throughout the land alongside the original message (seen above). A time has been chosen: eight bells post-zenith, the hunt still to take place on the twenty-first of Februm, Citisday. (OOC: tomorrow) The hunt should be ...

Hunting Expedition / Cooking Competition

The following has been seen tacked to the large posting board situated within Mistral Lake's Town Square: "ASPIRING HUNTERS BE AWARE - The twenty-first of Februm, a Citisday, LAROREMAS IBAONYTH of CLAN BLACK STONE will be leading a HUNT with the purpose of doing GLORIOUS BATTLE with beasts of W...

Re: The Major Changes

Some wildlife must die so that others may live on and some wildlife must be slain in great numbers due to the imbalance they cause due to a lack of predators. Baerden is in all ways, concerned with the balance between fauna in the Gaea, the Gaea itself, and Humans, whom are too just fauna in the Ga...

Re: Why are you afraid of fighting, CLOKians?

The issue that stands to be regarded is simple here. There are a lot of pacifist characters or characters that simply do not utilize violence as a method of resolving whatever sort of issues they may be faced with. This is especially relevant when it comes to this particular "monster hunt"...

Re: Tactics in regards to brawling combos

s'all good

it's just that some of us didn't always own the vanilla version and this sort of thing would lend way to the natural flow of a combat situation, not some magical fight club know-how

Tactics in regards to brawling combos

First and foremost, does your choice in tactics affect just how likely you are to execute a combo?

Secondly, I think it would be neat if the chance to do so was low while in tactics dodge/parry, moderate in tactics none and high in tactics offense.

Just a thought.

Re: Avoidance in Combat

Here's how I see it... you're having a conversation with Bob. You and Bob are clearly not shouting across the room at each other, you're probably within 1-3 feet of each other and talking casually. The conversation turns. You suddenly get this impulse to smack Bob in the face because he's being a j...

Re: Canim everywhere!!

OOC note obviously

A little note for people who may not know:

Once you arrive at the appropriate dock, you may have to wait a little bit for the barge to show up.

THIS IS POTENTIALLY REDUNDANT.

Also, I loved the event.

TY. The event itself will probably be about an hour long or so.

A reminder that this will be taking place at 6 PM EST. There will probably be in-game, in character reminders.

BUMP.

Re: Current Bug(s?), Suggestions and Concerns

Thanks for looking at it when you do. I could be wrong about this, but Bear Claw seems to drive the Apathy meter into the negatives, so perhaps that's why it felt as though using it was keeping me from using the Strength shout or anything else for that matter. This is probably where the majority of ...

Re: Current Bug(s?), Suggestions and Concerns

The most reliable method of triggering Victory Rush is using an ability that increases Apathy, otherwise that would be a good suggestion. I made that one to Rithiel several months ago when the Apathy meter rolled out. It would pigeonhole Dwaedn Wyr into using weapons if they wanted a realistic metho...

Let me preface this by saying I've had an excellent time playing a Dwaedn Wyr. Please don't take anything I write as ungratefulness. I'd like to open a discussion about some changes that transpired before I took a break from CLOK as well as some that took place while I was taking said break. ----- F...

Re: Entitlement and Banning

I think it's entirely possible for burn-out to happen because of rude, sarcastic, snippy players. Completely possible. It's not an excuse. A game's playerbase will send me packing if it's too abrasive, rude, etc, so why not admins? Because not everyone thinks like this: Something said in this threa...

This looks awesome. I am going to enjoy transitioning from using my fists like a man to instead using my favorite weapon from anime!

Edit:

It looks like these stances will actually make using ACTUAL brawling combos a viable method of combat, so I'm DOUBLY excited.

Re: Entitlement and Banning

If there is actually "GM burnout" stemming from the vocal minority let them voice their concern(s) here. Working on a game such as this entails a natural amount of burnout, and a lot of the times it doesn't come from players, but from lack of inspiration or drive to create. This is a natur...

Re: Entitlement and Banning

I think "throwing people out" over something like being unable to voice complaints and give constructive criticism is probably worse than being unable to voice complaints properly and give constructive criticism. This is the sort of thing that truly ruins a game such as this, not any sort ...
