Re: A few Requests to make Haiban better
Honestly, I've noticed that Haiban seems to be targeting a more 'upscale' feel. At least, given the costs of a room and food, and the guards keeping riff-raff out. Though, the general shop does seem to be missing some things, considering Haiban is a starting town.

My argument on limiting space is: Space is not at a premium, while we don't have mechanical ways to utilize much of the space, we have hundreds upon hundreds of rooms, representing thousands of miles (or kilometers for our non-American friends). Re: Undying and the importance of the body
I've experienced a bug where I saw my own corpse as well. lol I do think that'd be an interesting addition to the game, though. It'd also make things fairly interesting during events, and would likely change the entire way a lot of people play. Think about it: highly skilled player wanders into one...

*loom* Opening might need control, but slamming things shut is all power, no control. Maybe a way to quickly close all chests in a room.

Depending on how they do their scripts, they could probably pause the idle script whenever the last person leaves, and unpause it when someone walks in.

Re: banned bodies
What about having them escorted out of town by a group of guards? That way there's no killing in the church, and those who save people don't have to drag someone all the way to the gate of Shadgard just to diacover that, hey, they won't even let me drag this body through the gate. It'd also give th...

Re: Biggest Catch Board
I feel like these leaderboards would require bringing in the item in question (the game kill, the fish, etc) to be graded, for a touch of realism and to make room for ICly cheating. Would probably also drastically reduce the overhead. As for whether or not upsetting the Gaea would matter, that would...

I could support this as an option, though I believe there is presently an option to not show to room description until you choose to 'look', which might be preferable when you're worried about helping people.

Re: Recommended Triggers and Timers for use in Mudlet?
Timers are iffy. Triggers should probably highlight or just make a sound. I'm not sure exactly where the line is drawn for what you can automate, but you need to actually be there and input commands. An example I have for fishing is that no trigger of mine will -start- fishing, nor continue after a ...

[...] I had 2561 riln on me, and it added ten pounds. Sounds about right. Anything gets heavy fast at that quantity. Small trivia: Based on those numbers, a single riln has roughly the weight of a US penny, leaning less. If we assume 10 lbs is exact, it weighs about two thirds the weight of a penny.

Re: Ability Request: Combat Casting
I would imagine that an elemancer would be more likely to keep ranged by putting heavier focus on their shield at the cost of offense (perhaps by widening their shield to keep enemies at bay). Of course, I'm taking an example from Harry Potter in this, where they refuse to teach the Dark Arts themse...

Re: Sparring ideas?
Have a 'sparring' toggle, that stops you from hitting a non-hostile target when they have a bleeding wound would be my suggestion. It should definitely be limited to friendly and neutral targets though. Hostile targets, being hostile, the MUD can probably assume you want to kill, and since most are ...

We could just have these heads of these large-scale organizations do what those in the real world do: Send form letter responses. Plus 1. Especially for the silly/inane letters, or ones that are really routine, like applications. Like, if the letter seems like they would just stamp it "B2"...

Re: Peering into a lit room from a dark room
I -have- seen this before, actually. It was in DIKU based MUD, so you could peer several rooms away. If any room it would display is lit, it shows the rooms with dark ones being "It's too dark to see here". It's not a very common thing though. What CLOK presently does is very much the comm...

Might I suggest that, on log out (limit of once every few hours or so), it give you a generic "You feel like you've gotten better with a sword." or similar message? This would avoid telling people exactly what improved, or even by how much, but still give a sense of accomplishment at the e...

As far as I'm concerned, the magical growing of hair, changing of its color, and similar are completely OOC. Expect those sevices to disappear, with more realistic alternatives implemened. I do want the options of facial hair and styling to be more available (via realistic, mundane means). 5000 ril...
