Re: Grum Spring Festival

Clarification sought:
Alts.
One alt for the auction, to prevent too many alts from one player getting all the fancy stuff while the rest of the playerbase is left out?
Curious and all that.

Re: Treehouse.

I wish I could give Karasi's home to someone. She would so take a home in the wilderness. Seriously, I'm drooling, and I just now saw this. *sighs* I love the house she has, but it's not really her, to be honest, and never really felt like her, even though it is a superb idea, and I could see anothe...

Re: Addressing abuse of the Karma command

Kent explained my concerns very well.

Being told to 'deal with it' is like slapping someone's wrist and telling them, 'Run along, now.' It doesn't address the problem.

There is another thread about this, but my copy attempt failed.

Re: Removal of Karma

Hi. I'll look at the other thread. Just wanted to clarify something. And my writing in this thread has nothing to do with RP being ruined because I can't talk on chat. I actually like when chat is turned off sometimes. It does help with both emersion and lack of potential problems. I believe very st...

Re: Removal of Karma

I couldn't have said it better myself. I was karmaed earlier in the midst of a discussion. YOu can argue about what I said being wrong or anything all you want, but that's hardly the point. The point is that karma can and has been and will be abused. It needs to be removed. I believe admin and mento...

Re: OOC Coalition questions

If it took a season to build, when did the fire happen IC? If it happened the other day, this makes no sense to me. If we are now roleplaying that it happened, say, in December or some other month, then that changes a lot of things. But to be completely honest, this seems very gamey and OOC. I guess...

Re: Paying to sculpt?

So now are the tanner shops, workyards for smelting, forage areas with anvils and such, all going to charge? In my oppinion, it should be all or none. They either need to all charge a flat fee, or nothing at all. And I have to admit, the clay barn is where I least expected it, because all you're usi...

Re: Request survey show signs of recent logging

I would humbly ask that this be brought higher up in the to-do list, on account of what's been going on lately. It doesn't make sense for people to look at the forest, see one thing in the description, and find out by logging there that that particular spot is really being too heavily logged. Also, ...

I'm so glad this is being done! I think it will encourage character emmersion. This can only be a good thing.

registering items - some thoughts and ideas

We gathered round from our respective computers, and chatter over OOC about what we would and would not like to see with the new registery system coming into play. Of course, none of us know right now how it will work, but perhaps some of these ideas will spark interest. (As seen in-game: "Regi...

Re: CLOK Cooks gather 'round!!

A few questions: Is it possible to make other types of pies, blueberry, apple, etc? What could be done with oranges? I'd like to suggest a use for wheat and barley, and a way to have access to chocolate and other delacies for making baked goods--cakes, cookies, breads, rolls, brownies if such a thin...

Crafters

Either as a guild, or a branch of the Traders, I think crafters who specialized in making items that were more masterful than other players would be tremendous asset, and in high demand. Here are my ideas: Allow them to gain boosts to woodworking, leather-crafting, jewelry-making, and other skills s...

Re: building the world up

My only concern is: On a game where this was allowed, the descriptions that were approved were crappy and then some. The standard of writing was atrocious, and the writing wasn't consistent from room to room. I would vote no on this, unless the standard of writing approved was very, very high, as in...

Re: Horse Descriptions

Some stables still don't allow you to see the horses' descriptions. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but I'm 99% sure that Westbrook still won't let you see them. Now, that merchant who came through the other week (I want her back already!) was absolutely amazing. I'd love to see more o...

Re: Stalking

Generally, I don't like this type of char. I'm not the sneaky, thieving type. I lie horribly in RL, and feel guilty doing it even in good, honest roleplay. I've also been on games where the thieves were, to put it mildly, intimidating to the point of being scary for me to be around OOCly, because th...

Re: Profession Ideas: Brewing and Glassworking

HELL YEAH! Okay, sorry for yelling. I loooove these ideas. A lot. Add the ability to make beaded and/or knotted jewelry, braids, beads from various materials--glass, wood, clay, stone perhaps. I don't know when porceleine (sp?) and/or ceramics came into use, but they could be used them for making va...

Oookay, soooo... well, uh... fart You fart. Player farts. (insert any other things you want. I wouldn't fart at someone, that's just getting into the juvenile range, but maybe I'm too embarrassed to admit how funny certain other verbs would be...) Same with burp and belch. Something with "hmm&q...

Re: Desired Feature from another MUD - Saddles and other hor

On another game I've played, make that two games I've played, I've seen the following items. Just going to combine them since saying where they're from doesn't really matter: saddles saddlebags blankets bridles reins The one game had saddles with built-in bags that you couldn't see. The saddle was j...

Re: Farming Reform part I.5

This is awesome. I can't wait to play with the new system to see how the changes affect farming! When I started playing Clok, I had no idea that farming was so rewarding. I did it simply for the enjoyment. I love the planting aspect and watching things grow. Never had the chance to do that in RL. Th...

Here are some suggestions: bread baked goods--cakes, cookies, brownies, or whatever would fit into game genre fruit-filled goodness--tarts, turnovers same for meat and/or veggies The ability to put corn or another veggie in a pot with spices, and cook it as is. Sometimes a bowl full of veggies is wh...
