Re: Customized descriptions on masterwork items.
I think I understand what you're saying. Basically, it will have a set description that can be limitedly customized, so that one couldn't carve a toy horse and give it a description that says it is a pig made out of solid gold. And the ability to make these descriptions would be limited to those wit...

Re: Upcoming Mayoral Election!
I too want to know about their stance toward Tse Gaiyan, and if there are plans to investigate the collapse of the Old Shadgard Mine. I realize it probably wouldn't see any use if it was cleared, but the events leading up to the collapse seem to suggest it was not caused by natural occurences.

Re: So Long, And Thanks for All The Fish
I know how this feels. I've been gone for about a month and a half now I believe because of ghis same feeling. I am about ready to return, though. I hope everyone looks forward to the return of Navii and Roxis. Drayla won't get much use for now until I can figure out which direction I want to take h...

Wish this had been a thing when I made Drayla. She would fit better here, and I wouldn't have to put up with druidry, which I find irritating and Drayla is pretty neutral about.
Re: How?
As far as I know, elemancers do not conjure elements, they simply manipulate what is already present. Theoretically this is something anyone could do with the proper training. Elemancy (and any other type of channeling for that matter) is less "magical" and more "scientific."

Re: Lore Week III!
He does make a good point though. Usually when one thinks of raw spells that a mage may cast, there are three main elements that come to mind: fire, ice, and lightning. Will the Elemancers ever have access to lightning-based attacks? Maybe it could be an addition to air at higher levels, with the po...

Re: General Roleplay Thread
Alright, I'm gonna mention something that is most likely gonna make a few heads roll: Wagon theft. Now, before you start thinking I'm just whining about losing things, I just want to say that my trader character has been stolen from a few times for a couple thousand riln, and rather than whine about...

Re: Healing Priorities
To me it sounded like Kiyaani's wounds were more serious. I understand that some NPCs go into the healer with serious wounds, but I think the algorithm needs tweaked a bit. From what she posted, it seems obvious that she had at least three wounds that were serious enough to be bleeding profusely, wh...
Re: Etchings
Hahaha. Now that would be positively devious, especially if neither the engraver or the owner of the ring could read Faewyr. My idea was that the engraver could engrave a message onto a ring in a language he or she did not know as long as they had the message written down and available to them at th...

Re: General Roleplay Thread
If that happens, would we see a drastic decrease in the price to change your hair? I can understand it being expensive while the options are permanent and never change, but if I had to go get my hair cut every so often and it cost me a minimum of 2000 riln every time, I'd much sooner turn into Repun...

I noticed there doesn't seem to be a board related to jewelrycrafting, so I figured this is the next best place to post. While going around and helping out the spirits during that fun little quest near Halloween, I noticed that the ring we had to find and take to one of them had an engraving inside....

Re: Additional Customization Options
Daggers could have the option of being either long-bladed or short-bladed. I don't think this would really affect mechanics in any way. I believe I have seen the option somewhere to customize a dagger to be long-bladed in one of the stores. I'm really excited for these to get added. I hope we can pr...

Tattoos and other distinguishing marks These are available as part of a backstory (some people have scars or tattoos from their past), or as new acquisitions. There is a tattoo 'merchant' who occasionally makes appearances, and he would be more than willing to show up by request. All Fasa should ha...

Re: Lore Week III!
I don't believe I will be able to make the Skype meeting, but I will try. Another quick question, in case I can't make it: the 'infested' towns scattered about, specifically Tarueka and Dusklamp, were they remnants of existing towns from before the plague, or were they established after the plague b...

Re: Lore Week III!
Okay, something I have been wondering about for quite a while: Why did Mistral get founded on a platform over the water? Why were the Vatnfjall Ruins abandoned in the first place, and why didn't the founders of Mistral just clear out the old ruins and live there, since one must travel through the ru...

Re: adding more trader tasks
I could totally be an artisan. I like the spund of that. And if we do actually have a true "Trader's Guild" it would be cool if the Artisans and Traders both got guild points for buying and selling to each other. It would encourage actual trading for the traders, and promote the artisans t...

Re: suggestion: combat training
This is already possible. With any weapon. Just have an IC interaction with them, bring up the subject of sparring, then have at it. Just make sure you are out in the wilderness and not in a town if you don't want criminal charges. Also, if you are training brawling, don't use any gloves or anything...

Re: Additional Customization Options
I looked up armor on wikipedia last night searching for ideas, and instead of what I was looking for, I got a totally different idea. It deems that pretty much fluting was the only way they changed armor like 'texture' would, aside from maybe parade armor, which was highly decorated with fluting and...

Re: adding more trader tasks
I don't think of traders as the traditional sense of traders, or even laborers. I think of traders more as merchant traders. We do not really trade outside of the Coalition so much as we purely sell; therefore, we are merchants to those outside of the Coalition. Ideally, though it doesn't seem to be...

Awesome. Any hope of them becoming forge-able?
Edit: I did not mean to sound ungrateful, if in fact I did. I always like new weapons. I was just wondering if these were planned to be added to the forge list or if they were to be store-bought only.

Another one I think we should have access to is 'blackened'. I think I might go browse some of the blacksmith shops around the lands tomorrow and pick my favorite customization options to add here. I know there are some that I have wanted the ability to add to my owm weapons, I just can't think of a...

I've got a few ideas: Adornments: Armor: Breastplate: Left/right insignia - with an insignia over the left/right breast. Helm: Horned - with curved horns coming from the sides. Winged - with stylized wings attached to the sides. Ridged - with a raised ridge running down the middle. Finned - With a l...
