Re: Sound Off!
I'm tired but functioning. Part of the supply chain, and due to a variety of reasons I'm the last person on site for my department (planning) to function as a lynch pin with actual Production. Honestly in a pretty good place to weather it all, just have to keep kicking. Likely going to drop from str...

Sound Off!
So, times are not so fantastic as of late.
Some of us may or may not be wondering how the rest of us are doing considering we are a bit of a tight knit community.
So. Personally, I'd like to hear how folks are and how they're managing and if anyone needs help in case we can assist.

So long and thanks for all the fish
I'd just like to say a few words to the people who have made Clok amazing and comforting over the last few years, despite my only brief stints of appearance when you consider the grand scheme of things. Some of you may, or may not realize, but Clok has for a long period of time been the place I've r...

That Kent one is great. I really should pull my finger out and post one I've thought of, just need to get around to actually doing.

Re: Synergy Bonus - Bushcraft Basic & Skinning Focus
That's pretty much what I'm suggesting Carrionclaw, if someone has both. Bushcraft Basic unlocks full 0-2500 of the skinning skill, but max of average quality. Skinning Focus unlocks full 0-2500 of the skinning skill, with max of pristine quality. What I'm suggesting is, if you have both, that it we...

Synergy Bonus - Bushcraft Basic & Skinning Focus
Currently one of the benefits from Bushcraft Basic is completely invalid for those who actually want to focus in Skinning and take that appropriate ability. What I'd suggest is if a person has both, maybe a slightly weighed roll to ensuring pelts are at least average? On targets you're not used to s...

A Hunt
Dorn let out a quiet hiss of pain and irritation, the sound barely escaping from the confines of his helm as he pressed his back up against the rocks and did his best to remain out of sight. He could hear the giant lizard trampling through the loose rubble and debris of the volcano rim, occasionally...

Yes. Totally a psychopathic killer but Dorn has the bravery to come out as one. How I envy him.
In seriousness, pre- current Dorn I'd have said we definitely shared a general preference for solitude and to logic over emotions.

Re: New ClokGear Version Out!
I'm curious, if you're disabling support for the old plugin, does that mean you'll also be removing the various other options for Pluginstats?
Mostly curious because while I don't use ClokGear, I do use the pluginstats.

Dangerous Mobs and Skill Gain
So we all know some mobs are more dangerous than others, even if they both have the same rolls. IE 1200 Attack Rolls/1100 Defense Rolls. This could be due to the weapons they use for humanoids, or simply their special attacks for others (wing buffets, knockdowns, etc. In general, the more difficult ...

Just want to echo the thanks to both staff and players. People were incredibly patient and understanding in dealing with the chaos and confusion while their characters tried to get to the bottom of everything happening. And staff, as always it's great to see Clok being a living world and seeing thes...

Ruin is the best horse. Glad you guys liked it.
Thanks to someone who gave it a once over before and helped me polish it just a little. I would mention who they are, but they'd enjoy that too much.

A Lonely Ride
The horse struggled to keep his footing on the snow-covered road, the occasional pothole hidden beneath the fine white crust causing him to falter. The thin cotton caparison that he wore as his only protection was torn and puckered, partially from neat slashes and otherwise through small bloodied ho...

Depart and Max Skills
So, I'm kind of curious *why* exactly capped skills no longer help remove depart penalties? I know that skills that count as not having risk, or any gating towards, no longer provide reduction and is something I somewhat agree with (though the fact Knapping is behind 2? ability points and doesn't gi...

The staff here does a terrific job.

Any chance of Corvus getting these in its store? We've got a leatherworker, surely we can manage some?

Would be a kind of cool addition to the horse trainer Merchant. If they can teach war-trained mounts to be "better", why not, teaching non war-trained to at least be less spooked?

Re: Bosses and Sub-bosses
Plenty of mobs in the game that you either have to be massively overpowered for, or take a group with. Just no gain really to do so. But they do exist! One of my favs is middle of the range, and it's so satisfying when you can waltz over the mob without worrying.
