Trying to make more work for us! Conspiratorial is so long to type...Lacie wrote:Sorry to keep this going, but while scanning the list, another one that pops out: the 'glee' tone should probably be 'gleeful'. And 'conspirator' should be 'conspiratorial'.
I noticed, though, that teasing was fixed. Thank you!

Re: Tone & Speech Additions
I just got used to be it being the black sheep though. D: I'm confused about this. Why is it a black sheep? Because you have to type 'tone tease, instead of 'tone teasing' to use it, while every other tone you type exactly what it is minus the -ly at the end. Oh, I get it. I was thinking you meant ...

Re: Chat-free periods
For those of you quick to react in the "But I like chat and you should just ignore it" way, I urge you to spend a day or two with chat off (or RPHardcore on) and see if your immersion doesn't improve. Again, I'm not making this suggestion because I don't want to see chat. I'm making this s...

Re: Rites of Passage
While I like the idea of rites in general, I don't think they should become roadblocks in your ranking progress. Though I don't know if something like this already exists in the game or not, it seems arbitrary and there are plenty of opportunities for rites of passage without something like this. Ri...

It isn't about me wanting not to see it. It's about encouraging more roleplay game wide.

Chat-free periods
I rather enjoy the periodical chat free days we used to have. Can we make that happen more frequently? I like that it forces us to get more involved with the game and stop chattering nonstop.

Re: Emoting
Takes some getting used to (Especially with a character that referrers to themselves in the third person) but it looks really snazy! Thanks J This is just me being curious, but -- what does the character speaking in third person have to do with this? It's not like the targeting will be in dialogue....

Re: Tone & Speech Additions
I was talking with someone one day about how nice it'd be to not need to add them to a list, but supply your own. Though I'm sure that isn't viable now, as all the work that's been put into what we have now is far too comprehensive to toss aside.

Re: Tone & Speech Additions
As I'm guessing the lists of tones and speeches are a flat text file, or near enough equivalent, it'll take quite a bit of work to actually code in a way to sort them in any particular fashion. Else we'd have a way to by now. I remember suggesting some method of sorting in another thread and it didn...

Re: Idea: grove binding
Let me put an eloquent lore-spin on it. Binding/Imprinting with a 'grove'/area is the act of melding your spirit with the spirit of the 'grove'/area and walking away with a unique connection and understanding of the spirit of that forest/plain/etc. It is very much a give and take relationship with ...

Re: Idea: grove binding
You're... proposing that a druid can claim an entire forest? That is incredibly powerful, and I'm not even sure it'd be reasonable to claim a single league, let alone an entire area.

Re: Emoting
I can see the symbol being of use, mostly so I can be sure who's emote it is. Helpful when there might be several names in it, or if it's being abused, because let's be honest, eventually someone will abuse it, that's just life. If it's possible to misuse a thing, eventually someone will. I can app...

Re: Emoting
Speech in emotes is one of those things that people who come from true roleplaying muds are accustomed to having. I constantly have to rethink how to word things just so I can make GMs happy and eventually I got tired of doing that so yes, I do put speech in emotes. Otherwise I have to separate it a...

Re: Emoting
I wish this didn't feel like an inevitable "no" to me. I hope the GMs can bend a little on the heavy "preventative" measures and allow more freedom, because I honestly feel most players can handle it.

Option HideTitle
Toggling this on does nothing. I've reported this in game but I wanted to draw attention to it here. Titles can be rather distracting sometimes and it's nice to have the option to disable them.
