Re: Housing Discussion
Or if the people do "use" them, they just use them to dump all their stuff in like a glorified storage vault. What if alongside houses we had generic storage spaces one can buy/rent? That could potentially relief the demand for houses. Houses with nice descs and stuffs would then be more ...

When stuff happens because of GMs
This is kind of a specific shout-out. A shout-out to the GMs who pick up on stuff players initiate, and do cool things with it - not necessarily because it was encouraged by a GM event, but because they went and thought, "Oh, this player is doing stuff of their own initiative that could be cool...

I can see that.Rias wrote:It's their way of discouraging people from coming to their house and bothering them for silly, annoying traditions. Kind of like those people who give out sugar-free "candy" or pennies to trick-or-treaters.

Re: Seems the citizens don't follow their own rules
I'm not sure I agree. I think iron is kind of a big deal in the Outpost. Having a bit of it in possession is one thing, but gifting some random Corvite with it seems like asking for the bad kind of trouble - something that most anyone would probably avoid.

(Type stop to stop auto-logging.) You continue chopping at a yew tree with your logging axe. A small yew tree falls to the ground with a loud crash! ** Suddenly you realize the tree is falling directly toward A patch of stygian voidgrass. TIMBER! 9 crush damage --! Re: Housing Discussion
I'm not planning on adding big, unique homes in any significant numbers. They take a ton of effort and creative juice, when more likely than not, someone will buy them and never use them, but refuse to give them up for people who would actually utilize them. Or if the people do "use" them...

Re: Staff Appreciation
Barius the Ass-kisser. On a serious note, though, I fully agree. I've seen my share of text games and my share of administrative staff. This is as good as it gets. You guys communicate, support, constantly listen to ideas and bug reports, tell us what's happening and what's going to happen with the ...

Re: Healing Priorities
Actually, now that I'm thinking about this, what I may end up doing is adding in some check of energy that would give a slight bump in priority if somebody is tired or worse. Would it be possible to make NPCs randomly come in tired, maybe? I know it probably sounds like a pretty unimportant change,...

Re: Healing Priorities
So, the healer should prioritize Kiyaani over the kid because Kiyaani is a PC and the kid is an NPC? That's a completely OOC reason. A mechanic like that would take away from immersion. I'm not sure I'd want that. Though on the other hand, I don't know what happens when a player passes out in the in...

Re: General Roleplay Thread
A pet peeve of mine is bringing the guild system into your RP too much. That probably sounds vague, so here's an example: The other day I found a PC being stealthy around Mistral. I called them out, since sneaking about the streets of a town is really suspicious. I suggested the person is probably u...

Re: Farm fences
What about building farm fences with carpentry? You could build a fence around your farm and it could keep creatures away and prevent them from eating your crops while you're away. I don't know if that happens now but at least it would be useful for practicing carpentry if nothing else. Harvest Moo...

Bowyering difficult to train
Fletching and woodworking are pretty easy to train - if you chop down a tree, you get enough small and medium branches to finish about two lessons in both skills - just got to sit down and keep crafting arrow shafts. Now, when it comes to bowyering, my only option is crafting flatbows. I need large ...

Bloody trail
It would make a lot of sense (and be pretty damn cool) if a char that is bleeding and moving around left a trail of blood behind him. Pursuers would have something to go by, the importance of first aid would increase and it would be a nice and fun way to make things more realistic. I'd imagine it mo...
