Player submitted rumors full of information/misinformation would be fun. I saw something like it in another MUD a few months ago, but I can't remember which one!

This would be awesome. There isn't any reason a horse can't be trained in multiple disciplines.

Congrats on getting that paid off! I'm sure fear of the unkown makes passing a kidney stone infinitely worse. No matter how bad labor is, you know it won't last forever. Plus you get a baby at the end. Hope you're completely recovered!

Re: Events will happen - with or without players
Haven't been in lately, but I always return sooner or later, so I thought I'd add a couple thoughts: 1. I wish people shared more on ESP. This was already touched on, but it's something that's bothered me. There have been a lot of times that I hear something, ask for details over the pendant, and am...

Re: Infirmary patients- shoes!
That makes sense. I just thought I'd bring it up since we have non-armor shoes now.
This isn't a big deal, obviously. Maybe the healers should put up a sign that says "Welcome, please remove your shoes"!

Infirmary patients- shoes!
Now that I've noticed all the patients in the infirmary are shoe-less, I have funny images in my mind. It would be nice if all those poor people weren't walking around in their socks!

Re: Fun fantasy reading - suggestions?
Here are some I've enjoyed. The balance of my reading diet tips toward non-fiction (history and poetry) more and more every year, so some of these may be dated. The "Acacia" trilogy by David Anthony Durham. I wish there were 50,000 books written about this world, but there's only the three...

Re: Music that makes you think of CLOK
I have not been signing in as much as usual lately for various reasons, but here are some songs that have reminded me of Clok during the months I played. There were more that reminded me of Clok, which probably only means that I think about Clok too much. Not sure I'll be signing in a lot going forw...

Re: info/links about tactics & other combat options
What Acarin says about dodge gains is correct, but that was not what my question was about. This is kind of unrelated to your questions Smitty, sorry. I was asking about the recent change to tactics dodge- we no longer receive skill gains for dodge while in tactics offensive. The reason given was th...

Re: How do your character's results compare to your own?
It's interesting that most people play a character with a personality unlike their own! And that most of us are IN (intuitive introvert) types. I did expect most of us to be introverted, no surprise there!

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
Most of what I think about playing a solitary character has already been said. Having at least one ally/partner in crime is really essential. There have been times when Solaje doesn't have that and I find myself grinding skills and getting bored. My character does talk to people, but as I said befor...

Re: How do your character's results compare to your own?
Again: This isn't a serious test! I thought it would be interesting to gauge how close our characters answers are to our own. I also thought we needed more fun over here on the BBS! Solaje was ISTJ(A), and I am INFP(T), but have gotten INFJ(T) in the past. I'm a percent or two over on the "P&qu...

How do your character's results compare to your own?
Just for fun: Does your character's personality come close to your own? Try taking this test as yourself, and then try to answer as your character. http://www.16personalities.com/ I don't put much stock in psychology, but there are some things that hold true. It's Cheesy and silly, I know, but funni...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters
I don't mind answering questions about my character, within reason. Sometimes with Solaje I feel like I'm playing a game within a game. (A dream within a dream... oh wait, not the poetry thread!). Fayne, your alts seem like distinct characters to me. I do have trouble separating when I'm really tire...

There were a few of these items auctioned off at the Grummer festival one year. I remeber one had to do with leatherworking. Someone who cares about crafting will remember better than I.
