Re: Religious Text and Artifacts
Hello, I'm new to Clok and already I'm really into the lore of the world, my toon has even chosen to honor one of the immortals. I was curious if there were religious texts or artifacts scattered throughout the lost lands? Something for characters to read and interpret as the search for meaning and...

Re: Death about to become more dangerous
Huh. You pay with riln? Not... virgin blood, lost orphans, or in innocent puppies? That's disappointing. :P Reaper man's gotta pay that mortgage off. Quip aside, this sounds like a pretty cool mechanical change! When I was active, I was pretty hyped about death changes, and I still keep up with the...

Re: Groinkick to work on both genders
It can be pretty debilitating pain for a woman to get kicked in that region, as far as I'm aware. I can't personally attest, but it's supposed to be pretty bad.

Re: New elemancer here, questions and ideas.
In regards to staff and wand melee stuff, elemancers were never designed (as far as I can remember, as a non-staff member) to be melee fighters. A staff is more of a defensive weapon unless paired with magic flares, and serves as a great way to parry. I can't remember the specific bonus differences ...

Here's some audible art I helped make. A friend and I do ukulele covers of songs. I play the ukulele, she sings, and she set this one to video footage ofa vacation she went on. This is Tangerine by First Aid Kid. Her channel has a few other things.

This sounds SUPER interesting. I'm very much looking forward to giving this game a go when it's ready.

Re: Written Stories & Tales
I'd love to read tales about the old Kingdom of Aetgard, and it's fall. Maybe some things written from the POV of the Dunwyr (if at all possible, and if they exist in your short story world).

Re: The Tarueka situation
Infested just seem like the easiest punching bag of CLOK. I'm open to suggestions though. The problem with other things is they are either too poor or too strong for a newbie area. Your average highwayman/bandit is going to have at least some skill, and be armed/armored. Probably the low-end of thi...

I think it'd be more interesting to see something else move into Tarueka, instead of the same old infested.

Re: The Mine
Just so you know, Dunwyr have lost access to places as well, including some that were dunwyr only because they were attacked by others and abandoned. So I know the sting on a personal level too. I have lost a lot more than just being able to mine. As you know, Dunwyr have trouble finding any places...

Re: The Mine
I find it pretty hard to believe the GMs currently running Clok behaved in quite so poor of a manner. It sounds more like someone is upset with the GMs and is throwing a tantrum common to those who play muds to "win" and get upset when they don't get their way

Re: Cache of questions
While this can be a little unsatisfying to hear, there's actually an In Character answer to this. If you haven't already tried, I'd suggest asking around while you wait for a GM answer.Dorn wrote:Just who do the Hyra keep as slaves? Is it known?

Did you have any other penalties to your dodge skill? I seem to recall that if your skill penalties exceed a certain threshold, you'll stop gaining skill.

Re: (Virtual) Tabletopping
sorry this is a bit later than i said it would be. but the answer about Roll 20 and screenreaders is, that it does seem to work, for the most part. anything i could test out by myself seemed more or less usable, but I strongly suggest if you're going to be using it, that you spend a bit of time BEF...

Re: (Virtual) Tabletopping
For any of the visually impaired folks interested in the game (apologies, I'm very bad at remembering this sort of thing, if I don't regularly speak to a person), do you know if Roll20 functions with a screen reader? Specifically, the dice rolling function is most important.

Re: "Light" Hafted Weapons?
I'm not actually certain that light hafted weapons are appropriate for Clok, given how the "hafted" classification interacts with most combat. But something like a very small club (blackjack, sock full of oranges, etc.) might function as a hafted weapon and still remain light. I've done re...

Re: (Virtual) Tabletopping
I've decided on using the Cypher generic system for this. It's a system that provides me with extreme flexibility to do what I want with the world, as well as having a higher emphasis on driving story, and a much lower emphasis on combat. I'm currently working on a framework for the actual world the...

I might be interested in running a game. I'm at work now, so I can't discuss much, but I've been itching to run a game of some kind lately.
