Re: Woodworking
Squeak is correct. If you already have the woodworking skill by virtue of being a legacy character, there's a number of things that CAN be crafted. But the capacity to actually train woodworking skill up isn't functional, so it's not something new characters can do yet. Most of the crafts are in thi...

Re: No Current Way To Attain Skills?
Most of the guilds aren't ready, since the game is in an "early release" state of this version. Clok: Reawakening is using a different enginge/codebase that has to be updated to match the way Clok works (and the changes Rias wants to make). While some of the PCs have limited access to guil...

An Argument For Experience As A Resource
I think whether levels remain or are removed, that experience should remain within the game - instead going towards a pool (bucket or not - I'm not particularly bothered by the bucket and would rather it remain, and if it doesn't limit progression anymore I can't see a reason to remove it) that you ...

Re: charms everywhere
No, we'll just reduce stacks of them down to 1. Feel free to keep whichever ones you want for study or RP or curio collection or whatever other purposes! I just didn't want people to fall into the Consumable Item Trap of "well maybe I'll save them for use another year, I might need them later....

Re: charms everywhere
P.P.S. Excess charms and such may mysteriously disappear not long after Octum is over, so there's no point in hoarding them. Use them now and get something out of them! Does this apply to octum charms that are studyable/lore items? I like to keep ahold of one of each lore item so I can easily refer...

Re: herbalism
I don't really see why it has to be one way or the other. An unguent is just a salve or an ointment, and I think it'd be cool to see both poultices and unguents, either to treat different things, or to treat different levels of wounds. I also don't really see why there couldn't just be unguents that...

Re: Where are the monks now
CLOK is being rebooted under a new codebase. I would advise reading https://clok.contrarium.net/clokre.html for some of the basic details from Rias, and then there's an FAQ thread on the forums where he's posted a few times (and folks have posted notes from voice chat FAQs) at https://clok.contrariu...

Re: On the horizon: Ability Trees, Class Specializations, and Guilds
It seems we have like 4 druid-ish guilds now, five if you count dunwyr which is no longer joinable on pc side but pc members still exist. Dunwyr have never been a "joinable guild" unless something specific changed after I'd quit - it's always been invitation only from staff as far as I'm ...

In particular if envelopes could be made in such a way that they can hold a (finite) number of paper/page items (and maybe include bank notes in that too).

Re: What is your character's theme song?
I know I've posted this on the other game's forums or discord before, but with tensions rising in game, I wanted to post a theme song for the rising conflict that's going on in the Lost Lands right now - note, this is fully what plays in my head when I think about a tense standoff between Shadgard a...

Re: Skill Gap for Climbing - Requested Changes To Climbing
I'm going to post this here instead of starting a new thread, but given how the new climbing system from the cogg engine works, I wanted to make a couple of requests for changes to the way climbing works. First of all - I think that the encumbrance penalty raising the difficulty of the check should ...

Re: Consider ropes as improvised whips?
I think if you were to be able to use ropes as whips, the damage factor would need to be SUPER lower. The damage on a standard whip isn't bad at all imo, but I don't think you can get a rope up to the same speed as you can a whip when swinging it (the tip of a whip moves at supersonic speeds). But o...

Grinding In An RP Enforced Game - Or: How I Stopped Worrying And Learned To Accept The Grind
This post is inspired by some backlog chatter I read on the game chat this morning - it felt a bit weird to respond to something that happened 10+ hours ago, especially since I had a bit of a wordy reply rolling around in my head. The conversation revolved around the believability of having to raise...

Re: SLEEP Command
I was just... giving my personal experience? We were talking about people who struggle with morale, and I do, from time to time, so I figured my input might be valid here. Well, then my advice as a long time player would be to log out to the account screen so you can get the full morale benefit of ...

Re: SLEEP Command
And I literally am on all day, which is why I struggle with morale, sometimes. But I also don't step out of conversations to go make sure my morale stays as high as I can get it so the decay never takes me under a threshold where I can't max it, so that's my bad. That's a really weirdly specific th...

Re: SLEEP Command
I'm not really understanding the point of this request either, beyond having a way to listen to pendant chatter 24/7 without incurring morale loss - which seems counter intuitive to the design of morale stabilizing at 0 intentionally. This would also incentivize people to keep their PCs logged in 24...

Commune Questions
Hello! Inquiring minds want to know some things about Commune hopefully coming back (me, I'm the inquiring mind). Is this coming back as an ability as it existed in Cogg, or is this going to be baked into Druidry like it was on Clok? In the past, you had expressed a desire for Dwaedn Wyr to have som...

Consumable RP Props As A Money Sink
It'd be cool to see some consumable RP props added to the game - both for the fun of having little props, and for a minor riln sink for luxury items that won't create some kind of mechanical advantage for people to throw money at. The first thing that came to mind was tobacco products - I'd love to ...

Re: RE: Wilderness Travel on Empty Stomach
Soap and innrooms are great, except if you have been out grinding for a while, or wandering. Dunno. It just feels like another kick in the teeth with all of the struggle that is grinding, at the moment. How far down are you letting your morale get on your characters, that logging out for a few hour...

Re: RE: Wilderness Travel on Empty Stomach
Morale is pretty trivially easy to maintain unless you refuse to use bath houses/soaps and inn rooms. I feel like you have a whole bunch of grace period before the morale penalties hit - there's a whole gauge that ticks down letting you know you're approaching the danger zone. As long as the penalty...

Re: Weight encumbrance now affects rerolls rather than die sides
I'm not exactly understanding what this means. Could someone explain the change? Specifically I don't understand what is meant by rerolls. I do remember how it used to work. Insteadi of reducing the die size for your roll based on the weight your character is carrying, you get a number of negative ...
