Re: What's your characters favourite item and why?
Also the image of Lysse wearing a tiara is funny to me. I am very jealous of said Tiara :P You carefully examine a regal diamond-encrusted gold tiara... Several small diamonds are set into the elegant, curving tiara, its overall appearance looking fit for a queen. It is a small item. It can be worn...

Re: This Guild still active?
There's a lot of cool stuff to be had from playing a more solo, survivalist character. The one thing I'd say, is that finding RP can be difficult if you avoid cities at times. But it's a very, very rewarding experience. I'd say not much more is rewarding than building up a character from nothing, ma...

Re: What's your characters favourite item and why?
Due to the nature of the character, Lysse has very few items that she cares about a great deal. But among them are a bedrool given to her by Faylen, and a shortsword she took from a certain Mercenary. Unfortunately, I think both of the items were lost, so I can't show specific descriptions. Lysse's...

They're incredibly silly! In all likelihood, winged and horned helmets were almost positively 100% ceremonial.

If a room consists of a barely-discernible road through some trees, it shouldn't be tagged as urban, so go ahead and bug those as you see them. Urban generally means there should be man-made structures around. The druidry regeneration/healing concept was dismissed a long while ago, but maybe Jirato...

Re: What you should know about Tse Gaiyan and Druidry
I think that's my favorite part of the Fasa, they actually have a small selection of words available on the wiki. Yes, that's right, if you wanted to know what "Tse Gaiyan" meant, you could have checked the Fasa page on the wiki and learned at any time, and it is indeed "The Guardian...

Re: Dead Count
So, because they shouldn't cater to people who blow up over relatively minor things, it would be better for them to change relatively major things to give relatively reasonable people something to blow up over? Well, why didn't somebody just say that to start with? It makes sense now. Relatively. I...

let's not use people who don't want to wash as an example Why not? If something so little could make somebody quit, don't you think something even more annoying could make more people quit? Simple logic. I think the general idea is that MUD staff shouldn't be catering to people that blow up over re...

Re: Opt-In Permadeath
I'd also like to say that I'm a supporter of people being able to show restraint. I think permadeath as an option is completely unnecessary. If you want a character to die, just stop playing them. It should be a personal decision and shouldn't require GM or code intervention. In the last year alone...

Oh. that's out? Interesting! I want Dresden, though. I'm sure this will be good. I just got audible credits, too. Thanks for posting that -- did mean to grab this one. I want Dresden Files too. But seriously? I LOVE this book. I'm about halfway through. It's most interesting to me, because it's wri...

The Aeronaut's Windlass, by Jim Butcher. It's a fun, fantasy, steam punk/steam opera/gaslamp setting book with an interesting magic system, airship laser battles, and talking cats.

I actually think its good practice to respond to idle scripts. I usually do thinks or little emotes with them, when I can remember to. I even respond to weird little things I find in room descriptions, from time to time, ICly.

Re: Who's the star of your guild?
Here's what I'll say. Fayne's removal from the guild was a direct response to others' perceptions of her actions. Sometimes we act in one way and it's perceived differently -- that's communication. Actions have consequences, and "that's not what I meant" rarely removes consequences. I'd l...

You're only as useless as the average player. The issue is people, generally, see a (for all intents and purposes) limitless skill cap and rather than allow their skills to settle at levels that are realistic and make sense, they grind them up to unbelievable levels. With generally the reasoning of ...

You don't need armor to survive. It's harder, but doable.

Re: Knapping needing an ability slot doesn't make much sense
Show me a knapped knife that performs better than a forged one, IRL. Knapping is mostly meant as a feature for those that would rather not deal with the luxury of city life and not have access to forges. It's never going to be better forging. There's actually evidence to suggest that the Aztecs (if...

If it was rolled into Basic Bushcrafting, it definitely shouldn't be included in Lapidary. Lapidary deals with specialized equipment, whereas flint knapping requires very specific skills. That being said, flint knapping is actually not as easy as it's presented, in Clok. It actually requires special...

The Codex Alera series, by Jim Butcher. It's actually got several cool similarities with Clok. The first book is good, the second is slow, the other 3 are wonderful. The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher. Urban fantasy about a struggling wizard that is trying to make a living as a Private Detective, in ...

Thanks for clearing this up, I will say that even with what cannot be seen, I still feel like there's a clear lack of security- but if you insist that should it come down to it, Winston will play his cards, I can't do much else but trust in that. Re: Personal workshops
I don't care for this idea, from a balanced perspective and from an RP perspective. Balancewise, if you say "It costs X riln to purchase this thing that's cool", chances are a PC will be able to achieve X riln relatively easily. Which means we end up with a whole lot of personal workshops,...

It'd be pretty neat if you could actually dig for clams in certain rooms on the coast. Maybe with a decently heavy RT, to make diving for clams an equally if not better option if one has a high enough swimming skill to dive for them successfully. Also! Driftwood for campfires should make the fire bu...
