Re: Walking on water with cryomancy

I misspoke, but yeah, the same concept. And unless the water was already frozen, the ice left behind would melt too quickly to be reused.

Re: Walking on water with cryomancy

The original idea was the you'd just form the ice platform as you walked, so you'd have to move relatively quickly. You'd step and create (or extend) the platform and the pieces behind you would break away.

Re: Walking on water with cryomancy

Oh, I see. Okay, that makes sense, thank you. That does seem like a massive energy drain. If anybody has any ideas on how this would work, please speak up, because I can't think of anything.

Re: Walking on water with cryomancy

I don't see why a cryomancer couldn't do that. From what I understand of buoyancy, there are two mains forces. Upwards (from pressure differential) and downwards (from gravity). Because pressure increases as depth increases, a piece of ice taller than it is wide would be more buoyant, correct? So, b...

Re: Walking on water with cryomancy

What if you froze a thick but small piece of ice right under you? Kinda of like a mixture of the two. I imagine that a pillar to the bottom is a bit much, but a patch a couple feet into the water would work, right?

Walking on water with cryomancy

I haven't thought of a name, but it's exactly what it says on the tin. By maintaining one(?) cryomancy channel, the caster can walk around safely on deep water. Of course, once the channel is no longer maintained, the caster would fall into the water. I don't know how this would extend to parties. P...

maybe more than 50 because a lot of training choices for guilds give them 50 skill in whatever right off the bat.

Perhaps having the Rook themself able to change the appearance of the familiar based upon their skills? for example, the description is broken apart into several segments, each segments changing based on a certain skill, somebody with 10 melee would have a familiar with "small, insubstantial cl...

wait, 3 plus the 3 to normally change or just 3 RT? So without tactics mastery you would take 6 RT to automatically switch but with it you would still require no RT? that doesn't make sense, why doesn't automatic tactic switching just cost the normal three or the mastery nothing.

When I hunt I do my task, usually in dusklamp tunnels, I have to find the bloated guys and kill them. One thing to understand is that I constantly move to higher zones for my guild tasks, sure I could go someplace easier but that would be against my character's personality of wanting new challanges ...

As a Merc who tries to play constantly, I take healing where I can get it, but my character isn't one for running around with bandages. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me personally for me to spend time gathering the 100 herbs needed to get 20-12 bandages ( I do have a character who does this beca...

There is also a point when melee gains from weaker enemies will be minimal and you can train your weaker weapons at that point. Sorry if I sounded like I thought you were complaining, I was just trying to point out another option.

oh yeah, just train and mercs gain GP, a slower rate, sure, but if you use combat enough that the task thing might be a problem just grind and RP and fight. I did that for my merc and got to rank four without doing any more than 3 tasks.

Could healers also reduce the price if you give them the herbs for the bandages or some of the bandages? Now they just have to produce the bandage.

that was a joke, but yeah, I grind on hours then end up with 200 RT for healing. The bank is going to be so mad at me for never paying my debts. Speaking of which, is there a repurcussion for that?

If you have high enough dodge you may be able to attack the elemancer and tire them out faster, I would lead them on a chase so that their natural channel fatigue activates and I take minimal damage.

The only unstoppable elemancer is one with unlimited energy and all master elements, they run out of energy fast and you should switch to a defence tactic and out wait them, most have minimal armor and are very squishy.

because when somebody starts emoting crap or skill abilities ("you pick the lock") then you get problems, this avoids those problems by making it seen if it's a real ability.

why can't we forget unwanted skills? It would literally have 0 benefits other than clearing up your skill list.
