Re: Do Good Samaritan protections exist?
I never hold any IC or OOC ire towards you, Lun <3 Even when your characters do crazy things. We can discuss it IC if you want some reassurance :)

Re: Pondering the "no reason not to" issues of the skill system
The idea isn't that you would lose your current character, just that any extra skill points could apply towards an alt's development. But that would only be an issue if we went to a threshold or ability level cap system anyway, which I doubt would happen.
Ah. I didn't realize it worked that ...

Re: Pondering the "no reason not to" issues of the skill system
I was very divided on the COGG system because I felt it was too limiting, but I'm pretty opposed to current CLOK's lack of limitations since it seems too generous. As a player who does not go out and grind every skill "just because I can," it's really disappointing to come across the "jack of all ...

Re: Quality of Life Requests
I don't know if this is intended to return to how it used to be or not, but it would be amazing if we could still listen to the gray network channel even if we're tuned to another color. Swapping back and forth and hitting echoes constantly is fine, but it would be really nice not to have to quite ...

Re: Quality of Life Requests
Just in case you're not aware, you can use OUTFIT IGNORE on items that you want to be ignored by the outfit command. On my characters I typically use this on their pendants, primary containers, underpants, weapon containers if they're the fighting type to always keep them on regardless of outfit ...

Re: Quality of Life Requests
It might be neat if we could set our default "arm" "unarm" weapons based on the outfit command. I know it's a very niche thing, but I use different weapons depending on which outfit I have assigned. It would also be great if certain items (like pendants and wooden shields) that can expire/degrade ...

Re: High Skill Characters and Loot
I think bringing back kill/cull tasks will help with this somewhat, especially if the payouts are adjusted based on mob skill level. If it's going to take a while for this to go in for individual guilds, maybe the towns can offer generalized ones in the meantime to keep the area safe.

Re: corporial nethrim after pelos, Redleaf?
The main issue with the non-corporeals is their attacks tend to hurt harder. Especially if she's used to just fighting the golems and such that don't use weapons. They also drain energy from cold damage. It makes it hard to sit and train without having to rest or go back to town to heal.

Re: corporial nethrim after pelos, Redleaf?
I will say something that used to help in Clok and I'm not sure is still a viable option, was changing tactics. If you put yourself in a more defensive tactic mode you lowered your offensive roll and could gain skill in an area more safely. If that's not still available in 2.0 it may have revealed ...

Re: corporial nethrim after pelos, Redleaf?
Redleaf mobs did not range that high in Clok in my memory. I believe they were around 400-800 depending on the section, but I haven't spent much time in there. There may not always be a corporeal option available. You might want to try some of the different parts of Thaelsh though. There's generally ...

Re: Church Supply Requests
Much appreciated. I totally get it about the pendants and shields (for now). As for the garments, the slot stacking was the more important part, but since you've just added undergarments, perhaps tailoring will get a nice boost in recipes soon. Thanks again :)

Yay for post necro.
Can we get network crystals added in here? I haz no money. Also, the only shield currently offered is a wooden round shield - which is great don't get me wrong - but they are also very easily broken by nethrim. I go through 1/day while training and basically use it until it ...

Account Channels Option
I'd like the ability to turn off incoming Discord messages while in the Account menu if possible - specifically the Game and Questions channels. Not that I don't enjoy reading the chat, but I will sometimes leave my account online and I like to keep OOC and IC as separate as possible with the ...

Re: On Alternative Factions, CvC, and Evil Characters
For those characters actively trying to get into Shadgard's good graces, especially with the help of current citizens, is there any type of sign of progress that's been discussed amongst staff that can help players understand if they're on the right track or might be flat out denied forever? It can ...

Game Interest Requests
I wasn't really sure what to title this as, so sorry in advance if the topic isn't great. As someone who has been a long-time player, but recently has been struggling with returning to the game, I felt it might be helpful to staff to know what aspects of the old game I liked the most and allow ...

Hoods on cloaks working as head/neck warmth when pulled up.
Neckerchiefs working as head warmth when pulled up as a mask.
Ability to double stack hand-slot items if it's gloves and gauntlets.
Ability to wear hats under or on top of hoods for double head warmth.

By cap, do you mean player level cap or some other horse-specific cap... for my sanity I hope the latter.

Re: Help requested: Gathering information on Tse Gaiyan
One in particular involved a child in Emleth (after the destruction) and seemed to be going somewhere but fizzled out. I'd say that one was more suddenly and aggressively stamped out by player character actions, rather than fizzled out.
ROFL. I didn't want to be that harsh about it, but also I ...

Re: Help requested: Gathering information on Tse Gaiyan
Most of these are more minor events that people got involved in, but might help flesh things out:
There were a few infested-related events regarding sentient infested and what to do or not do with them. One in particular involved a child in Emleth (after the destruction) and seemed to be going ...

I would be ok with that. Points for effort is cool. I'm not sure that's what would count realistically for a templar as far as RP, but nobody's perfect haha.

Re: Merit Scaling
Maybe an alternative could be instead of scaling based on mob skill/rolls it could be based on skill/rolls relative to your character. So like... if I just needed some quick points to buy some food I can go kill super weak nethrim but I would need a bunch of them, or if I went for mobs that "grant ...

Merit Scaling
First off - thank you so much for adding merit gains back into the game. It's been very helpful.
To that effect - would it be possible to add some sort of merit point scaling based on the mob difficulty for Templars? Currently the amount generated for a near-max skill mob seems really low for the ...

Don't worry. You haven't missed any official "events" that I'm aware of. Though things have been happening :)
